Cops: Man snatched girl, 3, from bedroom window in Calif.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Authorities say a man reached through a Southern California bedroom window, grabbed a 3-year-old girl from her house and ran down the street until family members caught up to him and got the girl back.

A Los Angeles County sheriff's statement says deputies arrived at the scene in Santa Clarita on Thursday night, set up a perimeter and arrested the suspect without incident.

The statement says the girl was startled but not harmed.

The names of the girl and suspect have not been released, but officials say there is no apparent relationship between them.

The child's aunt told CBS Los Angeles the suspect told another family member that he was trying to return the child.

Authorities say the incident remains under investigation and asked that those with more information call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Department at (661) 255-1121.
