Cops: Man fatally shoots wife, injures himself at N.J. hospital

STRATFORD, N.J. - A man is accused of fatally shooting his wife and then wounding himself at a hospital in southern New Jersey, reports CBS Philly.

Another dead body was later found at the couple's home.

Investigators said 63-year-old Raymond Wychowanec went to visit his wife at Kennedy Univeristy Hospital in Stratford, N.J., around 9:25 a.m. Wednesday. Approximately 45 minutes after arriving, Wychowanec allegedly shot his 62-year-old spouse, Denise Wychowanec, then turned the gun on himself, according to the station.

The hospital was briefly put on lockdown.

Denise Wychowanec died shortly after the shooting, according to the station. Her husband was air-lifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden to receive treatment for a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

In a news conference Wednesday afternoon, Camden County Prosecutor's Office officials said authorities found another body at the couple's home in Glendora, N.J., a short time after the hospital shooting. Officials did not provide further details or comment on whether the two incidents were related.
