Cops: Body found ID'd as missing Md. woman Dorothy Grubb

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. - Maryland police have identified the body of a missing 60-year-old woman as Dorothy Grubb. Her remains were found along near a Maryland highway, reports CBS Baltimore.

Grubb, 60, of Baltimore County, was reported missing by her daughter Saturday evening. According to the station, family was concerned because there was a history of domestic violence between Grubb and her 53-year-old boyfriend, Clyde Campbell.

The Baltimore Sun reports a witness told police he heard Grubb and her boyfriend arguing in their Dundalk, Md., home and then a loud noise that "sounded like a firecracker" on Thursday evening, the night Grubb went missing.

Police said the woman's body was found along Peninsula Expressway in Baltimore County just before 11 p.m. Tuesday, according to CBS Baltimore. It was identified as Grubb the next day.

Police were also looking for Campbell over the weekend, after his girlfriend was reported missing. The station reports he was located by authorities and arrested Monday morning on an unrelated weapons charge. The Sun said police found a .44-caliber revolver, a .30-30 bolt-action rifle and ammunition in his home.

Campbell, a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing the rifle or the ammunition.

Though police said Campbell's arrest was unrelated to his girlfriend's disappearance, they say they are interested in speaking with him about the case, CBS Baltimore reports. He has not been named a suspect at this time.
