James Adam Pescovitz Gider is charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a minor. Police reportedly say he engaged in consensual sexual acts with the 14-year-old girl over the course of several days.

After learning his daughter was found at a hotel, Shaina's father David McBride told the station he suspected she wasn't there alone.

"There had to be circumstances that got her where she was," her father said. "It's not like she had money to pay for a hotel. Something and someone had to be involved here."

Family describe Shaina as a straight-A student who is active in her church. Family, friends and church members all joined in the in the search for her, including a brother who flew in from Idaho, reports CBS Miami.

"There were lots of tears and hugs. I'm just glad everything's okay," the girl's brother Benne McBride told the station after learning she was found safe.
