Connie Britton adopts a baby boy

Connie Britton is now a mom. The "Friday Night Lights" actress has adopted a baby boy from Ethiopia. Britton told People magazine that the adoption process took three years. (CBS) Connie Britton is now a mom.

The "Friday Night Lights" actress has adopted a baby boy from Ethiopia.

Britton told People magazine that the adoption process took three years. Last week, she returned from the African country with 9-month-old son Eyob, nicknamed Yoby.

"I am thanking my lucky stars every day," the actress, 44, told the magazine.

Britton now stars on the FX drama "American Horror Story."
