Commander Chris Hadfield says farewell to ISS with David Bowie cover in space

(CBS News) Back in February, I may have been slightly overemphatic in the way I expressed the sentiment that you needed to watch Commander Chris Hadfield manage a music first by performing from space along with the Barenaked Ladies back here on earth. Well... stop what you're doing this instant! And watch Commander Hadfield "wow" us all over again with his out of this world goodbye music video above. (And, yes, you really need to see this one!)

The fascinating, fun and funny (and much more!) mix of a music video cover of David Bowie's almost-too-apropos song "Space Oddity" was posted by Commander Hadfield who writes:

A revised version of David Bowie's Space Oddity, recorded by Commander Chris Hadfield on board the International Space Station.

With thanks to Emm Gryner, Joe Corcoran, Andrew Tidby and Evan Hadfield for all their hard work.

Bravo, encore! (And please do another stint on the ISS, Chris!) Alright, so is anyone else feeling really sad about his departure from the space station after entertaining and educating us all for so long with his photos, tweets, videos and more? As always, feel free to leave me some Comment love below with your thoughts. And a big triple-rainbow of absolutely amazing astronaut (and performer) goes out to Commander Chris Hadfield from all of us here at The Feed for this latest entry into the epic ensemble of work he's posted during his tenure on the ISS!
