Clinton: Dems Face Apathy, Anger in November

Former President Bill Clinton says that Democrats in Arkansas and nationwide are battling with anger about the economy, apathy from non-voters and amnesia about Republican policies.

Clinton returned to his home state on Wednesday to try and help Democratic Sen. Blanche Lincoln and Democratic congressional hopefuls Chad Causey and Joyce Elliott. Most polls show Lincoln is trailing Republican John Boozman in her re-election bid.

Clinton told reporters that he thinks Lincoln can still win if she focuses on the issues. He said voters are right to be angry about the economy and that Democrats shouldn't come across as defensive.

Clinton planned to headline an event for Lincoln on Wednesday night to mark her one-year anniversary as chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
