"Celebrity Wife Swap" kicks off with Carnie Wilson, Tracey Gold

(CBS) "Celebrity Wife Swap" kicked off on Monday night with singer/TV personality Carnie Wilson switching places with actress Tracey Gold.

The two switched houses, husbands and kids for the ABC reality show, and found that their lives are very different.

Gold is a self-described "control freak" who runs a busy but strictly organized household with her husband and four sons, while Wilson and her husband, musician Rob Bonfiglio, have two daughters and a more chaotic home life. The singer also said she and her husband are like "two ships passing in the night" due to their respective careers.

Wilson struggled to keep up with Gold's regimented household during the episode, while the former "Growing Pains" star found herself with little to do, as there was no cooking or cleaning to be done due to Wilson's housekeepers.

In the end, Wilson admits she needs to spend more time with her husband, while Gold realizes that spontaneity isn't a bad thing.

Another episode of "Celebrity Wife Swap" will air Tuesday, with actor Gary Busey and evangelical pastor Ted Haggard's wives switching places. Other stars who will featured on the show include Dee Snider, Flavor Flav, Niecey Nash, Tina Yothers and Antonio Sabato Jr.
