Caught on Tape: Police Chase Ends in Explosion

Multiple police departments pursued a pickup truck — believed to have been stolen in Monroe, Mich. Cruisers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) joined the pursuit as it moved into Detroit from suburbs south of the city.

The incident came to a fiery conclusion when the pickup truck hit a minivan attempting to make a left turn in front of a restaurant on Detroit's southwest side. After striking the minivan, the pickup careened into a parked truck and utility pole before exploding into a ball of flames.

Several reports said the driver of the stolen truck was killed.
