Caught on tape: Masked robbers hold up Calif. jewelry store in broad daylight

(CBS/KPIX) LOS GATOS, Calif. - Masked robbers with guns were caught on camera in California holding up a Los Gatos jewelry store in broad daylight Tuesday.

Police say the thieves entered Blacy's Fine Jewelers around 12:10 p.m., held the employees at gunpoint and demanded jewelry, CBS San Francisco reports. Surveillance video released by police shows one of the robbers smashing and emptying glass cases.

The suspects escaped in a vehicle that police recovered minutes after the robbery and later determined had been stolen, according to the station. Jewelry taken in the robbery was also reportedly found at the scene.
