Calif. math teacher arrested for having sex with student multiple times, police say

(CBS/AP) BREA, Calif.- Authorities say Michele Lynn Johnson, a 45-year-old math teacher in Orange County, California, is guilty of a criminal miscalculation.

She was arrested for allegedly having sex with one of her students, a boy who claims the encounters happened more than once, according to police. 

The student's father told the local authorities about the alleged incidents, according to law enforcement.

Police said Johnson was a teacher at Brea Olinda High School, which has about 1,900 students.

She was released from jail early last week after posting $20,000 bail. School district officials said Johnson has been placed on paid administrative leave.
