Bonus Checks = Higher Productivity?
You may want to hand out those bonus checks to your employees a little early this year.
An interesting study out of Cornell found that a 1 percent raise boosts job performance by 2 percent. But the study also found that if you give your employees the same amount of money in the form of a bonus, their job performance jumps up an amazing 20 percent.
A word of caution before you start cutting bonus checks though--the study only examined one company with 700 employees.
