Billy Bob Thornton wins praise from ex-wife Angelina Jolie

(CBS News) Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie were crazy about each other when they were married, carrying each other's blood in vials around their necks.

Now,  10 years after their divorce, Jolie still has nothing but good things to say about Thornton in the forward for his new book "The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts."

The 36-year-old actress wrote that her ex-husband "has a big beautiful heart" and continued saying the world would not be the same without him, reports Life & Style.

"Some people walk through life able to quiet the voices in their heads. He can't. And I, and everyone else who knows him well, we love him for it," she writes, according to the magazine. "I know one thing: The world would certainly be a hell of a lot more dull if that man weren't in it."

Jolie and Thornton were married in 2000 and divorced in 2003. Thornton faults himself for their divorce, reports the magazine, saying, "I blew it because I didn't think I was good enough for her."

In April, Jolie became engaged to her partner of seven years, Brad Pitt.
