For this week's Chic on a Shoestring, Carley Roney, editor-in-chief of The Knot, joined The Early Show with some steals and splurges.

She says, when picking a dress, to consider the theme of your wedding, the setting of your reception, and your personality. If you're having a formal, black-tie wedding, for instance, you should opt for a more formal dress.
