Rapper DMX faces more charges in Arizona AP

PHOENIX (CBS) - Rapper DMX was back in an Arizona cell this week after being arrested on charges of speeding and driving with a revoked license Wednesday, just a month after his release from an Arizona prison where he served time for a probation violation.

According to TMZ, the 40-year-old rapper, who has been arrested six times in the past three years, is threatening to sue Arizona law enforcement officials for harassment

State police said Thursday that the Chrysler 300 he was driving Wednesday was clocked at 102 miles per hour on a major freeway. The speed limit was 65 mph, authorities said. But DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, told TMZ that he may have been speeding but there was "no way" he was going more than 100 mph. He also said that there was no reason to haul him to jail.

The "It's Dark and Hell Is Hot " rapper was released from prison July 19 after serving a seven month sentence imposed after he admitted to judges that he violated the rules of his probation by having drinks at a concert.
