Apartment drive-by shooting injures 11 people in Washington D.C., police say
(CBS/AP) WASHINGTON - Police said 11 people were injured during a drive-by shooting outside an apartment complex early Monday in northwest Washington, D.C.
Assistant Police Chief Peter Newsham said one person was seriously wounded but no one suffered life-threatening injuries. All of the victims were reported to be conscious, breathing and stable.
Police said shots were fired from two cars speeding by the complex around 2 a.m. Newsham said police don't have a motive yet and still need to interview many witnesses. Detectives were at the scene Monday gathering evidence.
