Amy Winehouse's dad is Anderson Cooper's first guest

(CBS) Mitch Winehouse, Amy Winehouse's father, will be the first guest on Anderson Cooper's new talk show "Anderson." On the show, Winehouse talks openly about his daughter's death, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Winehouse says his daughter hadn't done drugs in three years and that she had a continued problem with alcohol. He describes what may have caused her death like this,

"She had a series of seizures brought on by this binge drinking and then stopping to drink....I think it's what the doctor said, I think she had a seizure and this was the time when there was no one there to rescue her."

"Anderson" airs Monday, Sept. 12.
