"American Idol" narrows field to three

Last week, the all-female final four "American Idol" contestants got a surprise reprieve, when it was announced that no one would be eliminated.

That luck ran out for one singer on Thursday night, as the roster of season 12 hopefuls was narrowed down to three.

After performances by "Idol" winner David Cook, will.i.am and Harry Connick Jr., it was time to announce the results.

The top three are: Angie Miller, Candice Glover and Kree Harrison. They'll get to have their hometown visits and will be back to sing again next week.

Amber Holcomb was eliminated. The 19-year-old had tears in her eyes as she sang her exit song, Whitney Houston's "I Believe in You and Me," leaving Mariah Carey crying at the judges' table.

Tell us: Did right singer go home? What do you think of this "Idol" top three?
