"American Idol" has set its judges' panel for season 13, and-- Jennifer Lopez is back.
The singer will make her return to the singing competition, joining returning judge Keith Urban and newcomer Harry Connick Jr., Fox announced Tuesday.
Lopez and Connick will fill the seats left vacant by theat the end of last season.
"I have always been a huge fan of 'American Idol' and really enjoyed my time as a mentor on the show," Connick said. "And I am honored that they've asked me to be a judge this season. As an entertainer, I am truly excited to bring my perspective to 'American Idol,' and to help emerging performers find their way."
Two more familiar faces will also be back this season -- Ryan Seacrest is continuing as host, while original judge Randy Jackson will replace Jimmy Iovine as in-house mentor.
"Surprise, surprise! I am so happy to be back as part of this amazing show that started it all," said Jackson, whofrom the show in May.
The 13th season of "American Idol" debuts in January 2014 on Fox.
