Amber White, Missing Louisiana Girl, Last Seen at Pool; Two Men in Custody

Amber White, Missing, Last Seen at Neighborhood Pool
Amber White disappeared July 19 from a neighborhood pool in Shreveport La. (KSLA) KSLA

SHREVEPORT, LA (CBS/KSLA) Amber White's parents say they last saw their 12-year-old daughter at a neighborhood pool Sunday afternoon, but when they returned to the pool to pick her up she was nowhere to be found.

Amber's mother Karen says that after not finding Amber at the pool she went to all of Amber's friends' houses in the neighborhood, thinking she had gone to one of their houses to get out of a sudden rainstorm.

Amber was last seen wearing a "Soulja Boy" t-shirt and her mother said she told Amber earlier that day that she was not allowed to go to the "Soulja Boy" concert that night.

Police and family members later went to the concert looking for Amber but did not find her there.

On Monday, July 19, police received a tip that two witnesses reported seeing a girl matching Amber's description getting into a dark blue 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Police later located the car abandoned in a parking lot and impounded it.

25 year-old Henry Lee was arrested Monday afternoon after police traced the car back to a house and found him inside. He has been charged with one count of aggravated kidnapping of a child. A second man, 19-year-old Brandon Player, was arrested earlier that day and has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

In addition to the green "Soulja Boy" t-shirt, Amber was last seen wearing cut-off shorts, and a blue, white, and brown cropped jacket.

If anyone has any information as to Amber's whereabouts they are asked to call the Shreveport Crime Stoppers tip line at 318-673-7373.
