Amber Alert canceled; Houston kids, 2 and 4, found safe

HOUSTON - An Amber Alert for two Houston children, ages 2 and 4, has been canceled after the children were dropped off unharmed at a relative's house, reports CBS affiliate KHOU.

Authorities had been searching for 2-year-old Jayden Lopez and 4-year-old Alice Salazar-Recendez after their mother's boyfriend, Roy Castillo, allegedly forced his way into the family's home early Sunday morning and then drove the mother and her two young children to a nearby grocery store.

It was at the store that the mother and the 4-year-old reportedly got out of the car, but Castillo allegedly pulled the child back in the vehicle and sped off with both of the children still in the car.

The mother said she tried to hang on to the vehicle but was dragged before letting go, reports the station.

Authorities are reportedly still looking for Castillo, who is believed to be driving a black 2003 Nissan Altima with Texas license plate number DWR5899.
