NEW YORK (CBS) It's going to be a boy for mother-to-be Alanis Morissette.

A rep for the Canadian singer-songwriter revealed the gender of her baby-to-be to US Magazine on Thursday.

Morissette, 36, annouced she was expectingher first child with husband rapper Mario "Souleye" Treadway, 30, in August via her Twitter account,

"We're so excited to start our family," Morissette tweeted after revealing the news.

The two, who began dating in 2009, tied the knot back in May at their Los Angeles home.
