Adrienne Salinas Missing: Police search for missing 19-year-old in Tempe, Ariz.

(CBS) TEMPE, Ariz.-- Arizona police began to search Tempe Town Lake on Monday for Adrienne Salinas, a 19-year-old college student who went missing early Saturday morning, said CBS affiliate KPHO.

The lake is about 5 miles south of Scottsdale. Local authorities used robots with sonar to search the bottom of the lake for her body, reported the station.

According to police, a friend last heard from Salinas around 4:30 a.m. Saturday when she called to say she was coming over, said KPHO.

On Sunday, the missing woman's father found her car about two blocks from her apartment, reported the station.

The Salinas family told KPHO that they knew something had happened to their daughter when she failed to call her dad to wish him a happy Father's Day on Sunday.
