911: Help, The Baby Won't Wake Up

INTRODUCTION

A frantic 13-year-old, Ashley Howes, calls 911 because the toddler she's babysitting won't wake up.

CONCLUSION
Prosecutors are convinced Ashley Howes shook 19-month-old Freya Garden to death. They charge Howes with second degree murder. In a pretrial hearing the judge faults detectives for ignoring other suspects, and rules that her videotaped statement to police is inadmissible. The case is dismissed.
