The Top 10 List According To Guy Kawasaki

Everywhere I look there are lists, but I'm used to it.

I got accustomed to those lists growing up. It started with Mom's grocery lists and my own one's for homework. Then I got old enough to watch Late Night TV, and discovered the King of list-making- David Letterman, with his nightly Top 10.

Around the same time, I started evolving from tween-friendly Seventeen magazine to Cosmopolitan. Who couldn't help but get addicted to those trashy mags (and many of us still are) with life's hopeful headlines including "10 Surefire Signs He's the 'One'" and ""Get Ahead Faster: 12 Brilliant (and Slightly Badass) Ways to Do It." Well, those mags are in my past (cough cough) and I've moved on to richer literary works, like Forbes and books getting a nod on The New York Times Bestsellers List. That, of course, is squeezed into my busy schedule of blogging, tweeting, scanning the streams of other twitterholics and now working on categorizing my own Twitter list. Phew!

One of the 250 people I follow includes Internet entrepreneur, author and founder of Alltop.com, Guy Kawasaki. Let me tell you, Kawasaki likes list. He tweets about everything from "10+ hilarious pet 2010 calendars" to "25 funny vintage tech ads" to "14 story lines for blog posts". I recently spoke to Kawasaki about why lists help sell and grab our attention:

Finally, you couldn't expect a post about lists not to include one. So without further ado, here is the Guy Kawasaki vs. Shira Lazar Top 10 List of our five favorite lists. (And how's that for a tongue twister introduction?)
