Prejean on Larry King: Sex Tape Beauty Queen Says She and Sarah Palin are Victims of Liberal Media

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) In an awkward and confrontational interview with Larry King, fallen beauty queen Carrie Prejean compared herself to conservative icons Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann and claims, like them, she is a victim of the liberal media.

"You have characterized yourself as being 'Palinized.' What do you mean," King asked on Wednesday night.

"You look at Sarah Palin and Congresswoman, you know, Michele Bachmann, they are relentlessly, you know, torn down by the liberal media," Prejean said. "They're great mothers. They're brilliant. And yet there's this double standard that conservative women are fair game to be attacked. And it's not right. And it needs to stop."

The former Miss California USA also said "Sarah Palin is my hero… I really look up to her and admire her for her strength and her courage."

Prejean was on Larry King's program to hawk her new book, "Still Standing: The Untold Story of My Fight Against Gossip, Hate, and Political Attacks," but she threatened to walk out on live television and called King "inappropriate" when he wanted to know why she and Miss California pageant organizers recently settled dueling lawsuits.

Rumors have swirled that Prejean, 22, was forced to come to terms with pageant organizers because they had obtained a copy of a solo sex tape she now admits making for a former lover.

"It was for private use, but does that justify what I did? No. It was the biggest mistake of my life," she said on NBC's "Today Show" on Tuesday.

She claimed she was only 17 when the tape was made.

Prejean was fired from her beauty queen duties in June. She believes she lost her crown because of her public opposition to gay marriage. Pageant organizers said she was skipping official events. That set off dueling lawsuits in which she claimed religious discrimination and organizers claimed she still owed them for a loan used to buy breast implants.

Earlier this month, Prejean and organizers reached a confidential settlement. She told NBC that she has suffered "a campaign against me to try to silence me."

Seems like Prejean's silence is over.

i tried to watch the sextape by searching google for a real site and found 100's of fake videos the only real site i found was 8 minutes long and was at this site: http://www.tinyurl.com/prejeansextape

The more she talks, the more her stupidity shows. Thank goodness she didn't go all the way in the pageant (no pun intended) and win the crown. We'd be represented by a person who mocks Christianity for her self gain. I'm to the point that I can't even stand to hear her talk or watch her. There is nothing interesting about her. Lokks fade, but dumbness doesn't.

Oh Puh-leeze.

"...Bachman...is brillian..."

To illustrate how Bimbo, dumber than dirt the first assertion is, let's take a look at the second one. Michelle Bachman is the IDIOT who, on the floor of Congress (while trying to wrant against global warming) said that "Carbon monoxide is a natural element, and natural elements will not harm you." Just like people don't die every year from carbon monoxide poisoning, or as if you can lock yourself in your garage with your car running and not be hurt. Both Bachman and Prejean should try this to see how "brillian" this statement is.

Carrie will do anything for attention - as her "private" tape for her boyfriend proved, and as every single interview since her loss at the Miss Calif. pagent has demonstrated.

This current rant is just another attention-seeking diatribe.

Well I gotta take what I said before back now.. It wasn't child porn she made... it was just what two young adults do all the time in a Free Society. This is such a stupid copout. Both women by choosing to be in the spotlight of the "media" have allowed themselves through their own actions (past and present) to be fodder for the media. Calling the media "liberal" because they aren't "Fox News" is absurd and hillbilly! Time for both women to grow up, grow a pair, and take responsibility for their own actions.

HA, ah good times! Yes the liberal media is their problem. Has nothing at all to do with the fact they are both apparently sharp as bowling balls. Nor the glaring two faced hypocritical garbage which spews from their faces. Nope, couldn't possibly have anything to do with that fact. They should stick to their base of willfully ignorant right wingers. Who completely understand and support them do to their own hypocritical bend. Stick with them and you can all stay in your hypocritical delusional little bubble, huddled together denying reality.
They are stunned and oh so hurt by a push back of reality. Simply because these people refuse to recognize the majority of people are not in fact like them. Just because thousands support you and any idiotic thing you say? Does not mean there is not a counter balance. Nor very large segments who will call B to the S when it spews forth.

Not attending mandatory meetings? I would guess, in Prejean's case at least, that she was spoiled as a child, teen, and adult because she has a pretty face and figure.

What is really unfortunate about this whole episode is that what had recently become an irrelevant meat market (Miss America Pagent) has turned into an unimportant but viral news story that keeps feeding upon itself. Had Perez Hilton not started this whole thing off with is baited question about Gay Marriage and the over the top reaction to Prejean's honest answer (Did he want her to lie for PC sakes), most of us would never have heard of Prejean. Of course Prejean's past, which she should have revelaed to the Pagent also violated the pagent's moral clause (if you don't like the rules don't play the game). Once revealed had she owned up do rather than trying to portray herself as the model of virtue she might have been able to weather this storm. Finally, commenting that a porn video was disgusting only to have it realed that she was the star and apparently producer, just keeps fueling the fire. Ultimately she either accepts her role in American entertainment news or she needs to shut up.

That's an audacious comment to state that these "media mongers" (meaning people who seek out attention from the media) are being maligned by the liberal media. What liberal media? Most televised broadcasting networks walk a pretty fine line when it comes to fair and balance; yet, the conservatives have a whole network...Fox News with blatent skewed news stories and commentaries. Heck, even Nancy Grace on CNN evokes conservative characteristics, and most of the financial networks also harbor this similar ideology. Print media (REAL MEDIA..NOT YELLOW JOURNALISM) isn't really interested in what Carrie Prejean has to REDUNTANTLY say. I guess it comes down to values. As an American I value freedom, especially freedom of speech and freedom of the press...even if it means I have to put up with networks who participate in the dissemination of ideas I do not support. I value my ability to agree and disagree with things. And last but not least, I really value the humor and hypocricacy of these conservative women (one who has a daughter who participated in pre-marital sex and is doing nothing to provide stability in her grandson's life by allowing the father to participate in it) and the other one, who also is this cute-caucasian-conservative-Christian who ALSO participated in pre-marital sex and taped it! There is a saying that captures this phenomenon perfectly, "closer to pulpit, but furthest from God."

She's right! That gosh darn liberal media always tearing down BRILLIANT INTELLIGENT women like Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann and future Nobel laureate Carrie Prejean.

Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, and Glenn Beck are so worried about being pulled off the air by their liberal bosses that they never say anything bad about Hillary Clinton, Sonia Sotomayor, or Nancy Pelosi -- like calling them witches, shrews, traitors, racists, murderers (Vince Foster), etc. -- it's a double standard!
