White House Family Photo Released

(Official White House Photo)
The Obamas have released a new official first family portrait this morning. As you can see at left, Barack and Michelle Obama are seated in the Green Room of the White House, along with their daughters Sasha, age 8, and Malia, age 11.

The portrait was taken last month by famed photographer Annie Leibowitz, who has taken a number of Obama family portraits in the past.

This is consistent with the Obama administration. When one questions his job performance, they put out some fluff P.R., like the family photo, instead of dealing with the issues.

Right now, while children are dying of H1N1 and no vaccine on the horizon until mid November and our troops are begging for backup in Afhganistan and Obama claims he will have "a plan" in "a few weeks", he really should be focusing on life and death issues of real Americans, rather than posing for pictures, jetting off across the globe and attending fundraisers.

He needs to do some real work and show some real leadership.

Sorry, but I know at least three people who've already received their H1N1 vaccine. Do a little research before venting, okay?

Dear lindyb2,

It is my opinion that it is not an either/or decision. Our President can, both, do his work, and have a family portrait taken. It makes me happy that he, and his family, are happy.

Additional information for Ellid2: The vaccine is not available in all locations at this time.

Regards,
Bob

Nice picture...it's one of the only ones I've seen where Michelle is smiling, she always looks mad to me. But why did they put Sasha in a white dress next to her father in a white shirt, maybe she should have been next to her mom who was in black.

What is wrong with you Stuart ?? This is 2009, not 1800's......who is "They" who bought negroes as slaves.....which republicans made that purchase, WHICH !!! You are really rotted in the brain

2009, 1800's, 10,000 BC.......

With the republicans, there's really no difference. You clowns are cavemen, and you have a LOOOOOOOONG way to go to catch up with the rest of the world.

I must say the Obamas are a nice looking family. That goes a long way in the public opinion polls for Obama. If only his ill-advised, socialist policies were as pleasant as his family...But, unfortunately they are not and that will be his downfall in the end. In this country most people are middle-of-the-road politically and in forcing the nation too far to the left, people will balk. In fact, they already are. Lotsa balking going on!

If this doesn't make you feel good there just is no heart in you! Makes me remember when we did our family photos.... kids are gone now and on their own BUT it is good to see my Country back to believing in the Future.

Yeah, it will make a great mug shot when Barry's ineligibility is proved and he's serving time in San Quentin as the usurper and traitor he is.
by Zann-Zel October 23, 2009 3:28 PM EDT
LOL! Do you really think that if they could't find any reason he would be inelligible before the election that they will find it afterwards?

Give it UP! Barack Obama is your President people! And he has a very nice looking family! : )

Uh, yeah, it is news. On EVERY network and site. An uplifting story about a beautiful family. Jees, the bitterness and hatred of the right is getting really scary.

Of course the republicans will oppose this picture.

They have no reason to, and they don't why, but when they look at the picture, they just can't help but yelling "NO" at the top of their lungs.

great news story c BS, you wouldn't want to report anything important that people should know and care about or you might be in the same boat as Fox. the WH might get mad at you for not letting them control you and cover exactly what they want people to hear lol

You mean like Rev Wright, the birth certificate lies, or the Fox sponsored tea party protests?

Bwaaa haaa haaaa haaaa!!!
by USA_is_back October 23, 2009 12:30 PM EDT
Or, maybe you think they should carry a story about Natalie Holloway. Fox ran that story for what, 5 years?
by MPHgrad October 23, 2009 11:39 AM EDT
That is too cute. Malia & Mrs. Obama's adoration for each other is palpable.

I agree, a great family portrait. For the most part I like all the president's family portrait. But this portrait says a lot more about each American than any other presidential family portrait. Only in America can such great things happen to ANY individual.

A MOTIVATION SPEAKER.

Come on - if we endured listening / reading all about the fashions, spending, domestic drama of Sarah... yes, some of us just love seeing a nice, happy, family photo of our leader.

As much as you may hate to admit it; he is your president! No harm in (for once) biting your vile tongue, and just letting something go w/o some negative, resentful, jealous comment.
