FBI Says There Is No Palin Investigation

(AP Photo)
"We are not investigating her," FBI spokesman Eric Gonzalez told the paper. "Normally we don't confirm or deny those kind of allegations out there, but by not doing so it just casts her in a very bad light. There is just no truth to those rumors out there in the blogosphere."
The unusual step from the FBI comes after Palin's attorney threatened legal action over the weekend to those who "propagate defamatory material" about the former Republican vice presidential nominee.
"To the extent several websites, most notably liberal Alaska blogger Shannyn Moore, are now claiming as 'fact' that Governor Palin resigned because she is 'under federal investigation' for embezzlement or other criminal wrongdoing, we will be exploring legal options this week to address such defamation," Thomas Van Flein said in a statement. "This is to provide notice to Ms. Moore, and those who re-publish the defamation, such as Huffington Post, MSNBC, the New York Times and The Washington Post, that the Palins will not allow them to propagate defamatory material without answering to this in a court of law."
The Anchorage Daily News reports that Moore, who alluded to the investigation during an appearance on MSNBC, fired back at Palin during a press conference on Sunday. She called Palin "a coward and a bully" and that she never claimed the rumors were fact but only pointed out they existed. "Shannyn Moore will not be muzzled," she said.
Palin's attorney Van Flein responded to Moore via the paper: "The Constitution allows anyone to print what they want, but it does not say you can do so with impunity and with a total disassociation from reality ... to be blunt: falsely implying that the governor, or her husband, are under federal investigation, is not free speech."

See all 47 Comments2. Doesn't mean that she isn't being investigated by other parties.
3. She will ALWAYS be investigated by someone as long as she is in polictics.
4. She's a liar.
It looks like you've become a new type of Bigot and racist.....against anyone who happens to live south of the Mason-Dixon line.....BigottedAgainstSoutherns is your new nickname
Republicans are just as guilty if not more so for drinking, drugging, and whoring....usually more so because they are ranting against it and pointing fingers while doing it. And as far as the unemployment rate....we started down that hill long before Obama was elected and as anyone that has driven a car should know if a car is speeding down a hill it won't always stop where you want it to when you put on the brakes. The Bush administration started it rolling down the hill and jumped out. Thank goodness this administration is at least trying to stop it.
If Palin is as bad as the critic say, then the truth should be sufficient to derail any ambitions she might have. Why not just stick with the truth?
If her critics need to invent lies to accomplish their goals, and lied they have, then we wonder what other things have they lied about?
Lying reveals a hidden agenda. By lying about Palin, major media outlets have narrowed their news coverage to force forward an agenda. They no longer are media outlets, but enforcers of the political party in power.
It's your fault, and your fault alone, that you can't see the election of Obama as a good thing.
If McCain was elected, we would be at war with Iran BEFORE they had their elections, and we'd be carrying out strikes on North Korea, all while our economy was imploding, and health care was still destroying our nation's businesses.
Oh wait. I forgot.
You've got health care, so you could care less if it's killing America or not.
Look around, the economy is not improving. Despite Obama declaring his excessive spending plan would prevent unemployment going beyond 8% it is now pushing 10%. There is nothing good about this joker getting elected.
I also assail the conservative tradition that declares the USA is only a nation for Christians to benefit, because this purposely imposes political censorship of Jews, Muslims, Buddists, Hindus and several other religions that exist here in the USA in large numbers.
Sarah Palin can pursue any political office she chooses, but much of the country has both racial, ethnic and religious diversity, something that Democrats love and fought for.
Democrats fight for the advancement of civilization. Republicans fight to arrest or oppress civilization. Sarah Palin is clearly in favor of arresting and oppressing the advancement of civilization in the USA.
nuff said.
That wasn't meant as a compliment. I know you took it that way.

Hey, they elected that WOMAN!

And you voted for Obama.

Some say, that Levi Johnston is going to right a tell-all-book about the Palins, Just soon as he learns how to write!

You seem to have a rather bigoted attitude towards Alaskans.

It's funny to me that Sarah Palin opponents are starting to sound like first graders (rumors, name calling, childish jokes, etc.). Any intelligent political analysis of her has gone to the wayside.
They sound like that because other than a personal dislike for her and apposing ideaoligies they have nothing to critisize her for so they make s.h.i.t up.
Don't ya know...
Law Suits, Freedom, Pass the Ball, Smaller Government, America, Alaaaaskah!
Could you imagine hearing a speech like this if she would become the President?
OH GAD!
"There are many things that have been "known" about Palin but turned out to be B.S. Also there is a big difference between trying to silence legitimate critics and bringing litigation against nuts for slander or liable."
Republicans do that a lot.
Do what a lot?
