e-Jihadists Rail Against Obama's Speech

President Obama's address to Muslims was the buzz of the Jihadi blogs and chat rooms today, and I have the feeling that the e-muj just hated it!
(CBS)

On Ansar al-Jihad chat room on Paltalk, participants expressed their surprise at the way many people, including Muslim scholars, welcomed the speech. One member going by the name "al_brsteej" was furious at how some clerics rebuked al Qaeda chief, Osama Bin Laden, over his comments on Mr. Obama just hours before the president delivered his speech.

"Sheikh Garni was so upset with Sheikh Osama .. he was saying that the sheikh should not be talking about his Obama 'darling' .. may Allah fight the traitors," the commentator said. Garni, a renowned Saudi cleric, had earlier said that Muslims should open their hearts and extend their hands to Obama. He also attacked Osama Bin Laden, and claimed that what he said about Obama reflects his ignorance.

Another member, "3EUON AL ZARQAWI," commenting on Mr. Obama’s citation of Quranic verses in his speech, said: "Even [if] he reads out the entire Quran, he is still the devil of the Black House."

Nasser Eddin al-Tamimi, a webmaster on al-Ansar blog, was more up-front.

"The commander of the Infidels' armies wants to strike a peace deal with the Muslim ummah. What peace is he talking about when his armies are fighting our people in Iraq and Afghanistan?!" al-Tamimi said, "O' enemy of Allah Obama .. there is no peace, but rather destruction for destruction .. blood for blood .. and there shall be nothing between you and us but the mighty swords .. and the response is what you see, not what you hear."

Another blogger, Abu Abdel Rahman al-Salafi from hanein forums described those who believed Mr. Obama as naïve.

"It’s so sad to see some naïve people following and even building hopes on what Obama said in his speech," the blogger said. "I just don’t know how many times do we have to be bitten by the very same Snake?!"

In the U.K., followers of exiled radical preacher, Omar Bakri Mohammed, also didn’t seem very impressed by Mr. Obama. A certain "Bilal" drafted a lengthy, structured reply to the speech on Islam4UK. After analyzing the speech bit by bit, "Bilal" listed a number of actions that he said Mr. Obama had to undertake in order to make peace with Muslims, including “eternally apologize and beg (in vain) for forgiveness from the Muslims and Muslim world!” (The full statement can be found here.)

BHO talks a good game and moderate Muslims "accepted" his speech. Speaking from expeirinece, Look into the eyes of an extremist in Iraq/Afghanistan that is trying to kill you and see if you have gotten through to them.

The eJihadists at cbs seem to have a mixed opinion of the President. Some want a week's pay for a day's work. Some don't want to work at all. There may be some way the trade union approach can unite these factions. After all, they both went to a lot of trouble to spell "pig" correctly.

President's rhetoric doesn't mean a hill of beans if he can't sell it to someone who will actually act on it. Moderate muslims will again just nod their heads in agreement right up to the moment that jihadist extremists pull off another attack somewhere - then they'll soft-peddle some sort of statement disapproving the action but at no time will they actually move to prvent or stop it.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see much of a possibility of peace with Muslims UNLESS they can divorce themselves of those that would want to be the next heros of the Islamic world by killing Americans.

This article shows something most of us haven't seen in the western world, that the moderate Muslims accepted the speech, clerics rebuked OBL for his terrorist ways, and the fringe is disagreeing with the Peace loving Muslims.

THIS IS WHAT IS NEEDED, FOLKS.

Obama MAY be onto something, and if it works, it WOULD make him the next Lincoln, with respect to peace.. But as I said, unless it can be sustained, it will not work.

Those that hate MUST be stopped on both sides.

So - if Obama performs, I'm willing to praise - but I'm still saying this was just a good speech until we see results. IT is up to his administration to keep the pressure on to stop the hate via a common goal of peace.

I guess I'm an isolationist- and I think if you want to live in a stone-aged sand pile like Iraq or Iran or Afghanistan, more power to you. And if the people there want to kill each other because they don't like the way the other guy worships allah, that's ok with me too. Just don't come here to my country and try to force us to understand and accept your barbaric behavior.

Obama is winning the hearts and minds of sane muslims everywhere , and that is why he has the jihadists worried. The Limbaughs of this world should be delighted that America is finally winning the only war that matters. That they are blind to the score tells me that they are more stupid , and just as dangerous, as the jihadists they rail against.

You wouldn't have a direct quote on that now would you or are you just playing with your Klan pin again? LOL What he said you poor uneducated loser was that having Nuclear Energy within the Treaty was acceptable as it is with all nation's. He went on to say that they must do this within the TREATIES on the matter. Have you considered night classes where you can learn to actually READ? One think you ABSOLUTELY should stop is those Klan Rallies on the weekend.

Our President is not "chumming around" with anyone. You sound as ridiculous as Sarah Palin ! A smile and a handshake at an international meeting is good manners, not "chumming around". Get a grip.

There seem to be a lot of e-Jihadists of sorts on this site. The same wrong wing nuts that would be proud of Ruby Ridge, Wacco and the Oklahoma bombing. Seems to me the wrong wing also cheers doctors at clinics being gunned down. Then they call the left crazy...really.

Obama is admired and liked like no other American president in decades.

Oh really?
Ask the German CHancellor what she thinks.
Ask the British PM and Queen what they think. (And if they've watched the DVD's Obama gave them)
Ask Netenyahu what he thinks.

Now Obama's telling us Iran should have nukes if they want them.

We've elected a Liberal Pantywaist Elitist.
Jimmy Carter is going to end up looking like Clint Eastwood next to Obama.

What the heck??? e-Jihadists??? How lame is that?!? Why are we supposed to care what militant Muslims think about our president? If Obambi does his job, they will all be... well, never mind, I wouldn't want to be banned again.

Well, yes---we'd kind of expect the average jihadist to wail against Mr. Obama's speech, but not as much as the Republican leadership in the U.S.A. wil!!

Mr. Limbaugh is probably already drooling white foam out of his mouth, while he waits to excoriate Mr. Obama!

Obama offends and alienates our allies,

Posted by hawksprings at 8:16 PM : Jun 5, 2009

Perhaps you WISH this were true, since you are still so sore about Republican/neo-con losses in the last election cycle. But in fact it is nowhere near true. People around the world, both historical allies and enemies, are starting to feel RESPECT for America for the first time in years. President Obama is admired and liked like no other American president in decades.
