Day 7: Obama Makes Move On Emissions

(CBS)
On his seventh day in office, President Obama signaled a clear break with the energy policies of his predecessor, George W. Bush.

The president signed executive orders that will force automakers to adhere to stricter fuel-efficiency guidelines and paved the way for states such as California to adopt tougher emissions rules.

"For too many years Washington has been asleep at the wheel," said California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. "Now we have an ally."
