Obama Again Calls For College Football Playoff

President-elect Barack Obama held a news conference today to announce his picks to lead the CIA (Leon Panetta) and to be Director of National Intelligence (Dennis Blair). He also talked about the latest unemployment report and called for urgent action on the stimulus plan he talked about yesterday.

But he might receive the most attention for what he said about the Bowl Championship Series when asked about Florida's win over Oklahoma last night. As he has done before on ESPN and on 60 Minutes, the president-elect reiterated his call for a playoff to decide the national college football champion.

"If I'm Utah, or if I'm USC or if I'm Texas, I may still have some quibbles," he said. "That's why we need a playoff."

Mr. Obama, however, said he did say a congratulatory message to a former detail leader on his secret service team whose son plays left tackle for the Gators.

Watch Mr. Obama making his comment today below:

Here's the clip of Mr. Obama on 60 Minutes back in November also making the same pitch.

why not, the so called democrat leaders already have a government run auto industry, and they are working on the passing of legislation for government run health care, why stop there? why not government run football, and state controlled media too? wait we already have that, anybody watched any of the so-called mainstream media news lately? i guess 'peace4321' has been too busy smelling the roses and celebrating living in america since bush is gone to notice someone that is just as bad is in office now and wants to control what seems to be everything. maybe you need to realize what made this country great in the first place and maybe the president should stop experimenting with political ideology and go with what has pulled us out of economic depression before. go with what we all know works, not some left wing or right wing political agenda.

Do you want to change the BCS system rather than complain about it? A friend of mine started an idea sharing site where it?s really easy to post ideas and vote on the best ones. Please help him get enough ideas, as he plans to take this in front of congress. Click this link and post an idea or vote on your favorite. http://budurl.com/bcsreformpost

You need to get out of your NRA bunker to see what''s really going on outside - people are dancing on the streets that Bush is gone.
