Obama To Advertise In McCain's Home State

On a conference call this morning, Obama campaign manager David Plouffe told reporters that his campaign is expanding advertising into three states in which few expected the Democratic nominee to be competitive: North Dakota, Georgia, and John McCain's home state of Arizona.

McCain has represented Arizona in Congress for 26 years, but recent polls have shown Obama trailing by just the low single digits in the state.

Pressed on why the campaign was advertising in the three states when other battleground states remain tight, Plouffe said the polls were close enough to justify the effort.

“We’re just going to give it a go in the last 4 days and see how close we can get it,” he said, adding that the campaign's push in the three states would not detract from its efforts in more traditional battlegrounds.

We wrote about the two spots now set to air in the three states, "Rearview Mirror" and "Something," yesterday. Check them out here.

"Something," which Plouffe referred to as a "positive closer," will be airing in Arizona. He said "Rearview Mirror," which links McCain to President Bush, will air in the other two states because "we've seen movement" there. He cited "highly encouraging" early voting numbers in Georgia and noted the campaign has organizations in all three states.

The Obama campaign would not release the size of the advertising buy.

Warren Buffet, the billionaire, is voting for Obama. Buffet says the tax laws are unfair to those making less than $250,000. Buffet says that he pays a less percentage tax than his secretaries do, and Buffet says this must change to be more fair.

Obama''s tax plans and economic plans are superior and are light year''s ahead of McCain''s plans. Warren Buffet strongly endorses Obama''s economic policies and tax cuts. More money in your pocket if you make less than $250k!

Written by a veteran and I quote "Senator McCain you are no hero, you are in fact a terrorist.

Your campaign advisor & "Transition Chief" William Timmons was a Saddam Hussein lobbyist for 5 years.
You pal around with Gordon Liddy, domestic terrorist.
You are a member of "The Project for a New American Century" - a radical extremist terrorist organization.
Your VP candidate''''s husband Todd Palin is a domestic terrorist in the Alaskan Independence Party.
You accuse Obama of knowing Rashid Khalidi, yet you yourself have given Rashid Khalidi & the PLO $500,000.00!!! So by your logic, if Obama is a terrorist sympathizer like you claim, then you Senator McCain are a state sponsor of terrorism. You are, by your own twisted logic, a terrorist by your own admittance.
You have met with Chilean Dictator Pinochet, a terrorist.
You''''re coordinated effort to use FOX NEWS, the Bush Administration, your campaign, Sarah Palin, and The Justice Department to commit voter fraud, voter intimidation, & voter suppression is an act of terrorism.

John McCain you are a disgrace!"

It should not matter if he runs ads in Arizona. It''s one of our states and no one says everyone wants McCain there. Obama is just 4 down for McCain there. I would LOVE IT if he won that state!

It''s time for this country to move on. No more George Bush policies, we have suffered enough. Millionaires don''t understand what the middleclass has been subjected too for the past 8 years because they''re making their money off our backs and are keeping us from properity. McCain go back to one of your 7 homes, your $150 million dollar bank account and your wife'' billion dollar inheritance. Americans help each other, that''s what we are about and you are trying to say something is wrong with that?!

I can''t imagine even one state, no matter how white wing, to vote for this ticket. I just hope we can get at least 2/3 majority in both houses of Congress. We have a lot of fascism to roll back.

Vote ~ Obama and Biden Ticket~~~~

This is not going to be a recession. This is going to be worse than the Great Depression. ~~~

You history buffs out there know the Great Depression was causes by Republican Majorities in the 1920s that lead up to the 1929 Stock Market crash! The 1930s were the years of the Great Depression and it took a Socialist, FDR to get America back on track. It took him almost 10 years to do it. ~~~~~~~

McCain becomes President, and 99% of Americans will suffer under a Great Depression that will go on for many years. ~~~~~~~

Obama becomes President, and 99% of Americans will suffer hard times for two or three years before he can get things turned around. It will take Obama two terms to get this mess straightened out. He will have to spend his first days as President reversing all the Bush/McCain programs and policies in all areas, and then he can spend years cleaning up the mess and years more making repairs. ~~~~~~~

It always takes a Democrat that leans to the left to get America to the center! Eight years of a right wing low IQ Religious fanatic caused this mess. ~~~~~~

This is not the time for some senile old man with a right wing nutcase VP to step in with 20th century solutions to 21st century problems. This is the time for a high IQ 21st century thinking person to take charge, and that would be Obama. ~~~~~~

Obama will be much like FDR! He will save America if elected. ~~~

Just 4 more days people. Visit voteforchange.com to find your polling place, voting times, and what you need to bring.

Please, make sure you get out and vote this year. We could have elected Al Gore in 2000 and avoided the mess of the Bush years if only a few more people had voted. Please email your friends and ask them to vote for change this year.

The biggest enemy we have is overconfidence. This race isn''t done yet. We all need to sprint to the finish line here. We have the opportunity to finally put an end to the nightmare of the last 8 years!

The lies, deception and ommisions of the Dems, the Obama campaign and the MSM will make Watergate look like a tea party. And the mask of the Great Deceiver Obama will - at long last - be peeled away.
