Palin Camp Forcefully Denies Report Of Internal Discord

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(SIOUX CITY, IOWA) - In response to a report by The Politico citing reports of strife within Sarah Palin’s campaign team, traveling press secretary Tracey Schmitt made her way to the back of the campaign plane to deliver a rare in-person statement to reporters traveling with the governor.

"Unnamed sources with their own agenda will say what they want,” Schmitt said. “But from Gov. Palin down we have one agenda, and that's to win on Election Day."

The Politico reported that “stirrings of a Palin insurgency are complicating the campaign's already-tense internal dynamics.” Reporter Ben Smith cited four sources close to the governor who said that Palin has “decided increasingly to disregard the advice of the former Bush aides tasked to handle her, creating occasionally tense situations as she travels the country with them.”

Though Palin kept her distance from the traveling press throughout most of the campaign, the dynamic suddenly shifted last weekend, when she took questions from the media on three separate occasions over the course of two days.

Palin decided to hold an impromptu press conference on the tarmac in Colorado Springs on Sunday without first notifying her staffers. She again took questions at an ice cream shop just a few minutes later but has not made herself available to the traveling press since then.

can anyone think of a name that ends in ''IST'' as it will surely be the next nasty name the gop comes up with. i can''t think of anything else. palin will use and fire anybody who gets in her way. she might even give mccain what he''s been looking at while he rubs his wedding ring, causing him to have heart failure. president palin.

Watching the movie the Dead Zone over the weekend and seeing Martin Sheen play that whacked out President reminded me what it would be like if Palin got into the White House. God help us all.

A Vote for the Bush/McCain/Palin Ticket is a vote for?
__ Bush/McCain/Rove Camp
__ Palin Camp
__ Three Republican Stooges (Rudy, Mitt & Fred)
__ None of the Above

They could be as good as gold with one another and walk hand in hand singing kumbaya in harmony, but they still aren''t going to win...

The Grand Oil Party is expert at name calling.
First they called Obama a "celebrity".
Then he was called an "elitist".
Then it was "sexist".
Then it was "racist".
Then it was "terrorist".
Then it was "socialist".
Next week, it will be "space alien."
Do you see a pattern here?

McCain can''t even manage the VP choice that he picked.
How does he expect us to believe that he can manage the country?

When is Palin going to talk about a real issue?

First we had troopergate, now we''re hearing that she gave the gas pipeline to a very close lobbyist friend.

Rather than give fair treatment to American companies, Palin allowed her Canadian lobbyist friend inside information.

This is interesting "journalism", indeed.
Ben Smith cited 4 sources with no names! "aides" "those close to the camp" "McCain allys"
It makes you wonder if he made the whole thing up...this is the kind of stuff you find on "The National Enquirer" not CBS!!

With all the discussions of wardrobe and Palin taking off on her own and pipelines and SNL skits --- has anyone noticed that Obama had to correct/change his tax cut proposal which he had misrepresented??? And has anyone yet realized that the tax refund he has promised you (in order to get elected) will be paid back to the govt "Double" because he plans to borrow the money from China thereby increasing our debt and will be forced to announce a huge tax increase after his first year in office. This is a GIVEN -- because you cannot continue borrowing and dealing with an increasing overhead and giving refunds without having to pay the piper. You all have budgets at home. Haven''t you figured this out yet? The man is BUYING your votes and then, after a year, when it hits the fan, it will be payback time for everyone. Our govt is supported by 95% of the taxpayers and YOU will have to carry this burden somewhere down the line --- no matter what pretty promises this guy is making. Wake up. I prefer to go with the guy who will shrink our topheavy govt and provide us with real and permanent tax relief at the end of 4 yrs.

dont think these people will stop after Obama is elected. Just like they did with Clinton, they will spare no cost, whatever it takes to discredit Obama. Even if it destroys the country, that is no concern of theirs. When Clinton was going after AlQueda in 1999, all the republicans could say was they his only reason for doing so was to take the spotlight off of Monica. Now they say he didnt do enough to get Bin Laden. Despite their pitiful "attempt" at getting Bin Laden through the Aghanistan military, of which most members held Bin Laden in high esteem. He got away. I wonder how that happened? It happened because Bush wanted Bin Laden to get away. He wanted the american public to somehow connect the war in Iraq to capturing BinLaden. Thats why they let BinLaden get away.

Maverick -versus- Maverick

John McCain and Karl Rove have setup Sarah Palin to be the official SCAPEGOAT. Look at the evidence:

- $150KClothingGate
- TrooperGate
- BridgetoNoWhereGate
- FakeSuspendCamapignGate
- SNLPunchingBagGate
- WitchHunterGate
- FakePlumberGate

Let''s see,it''s all rosy and one accord with Oabam/Biden.Everytime Biden opens his mouth,Obama has to try to cover up for his "rhetorical flourishes",or gaffes,or maybe letting the truth slip when he''s unscripted. The media,as well as Obama/Biden are applying Saul Alinsky tactice of ridicule, work for radical change from the inside, and rub raw the resentments of the people.Don''t you see how they''re playing black/white,rich/poor all against each other for their own ambition.Do yourself a favor, and read IBD editorials.com article September 22,2008 "How Obama Applies Alinsky''s Rules" and you''ll see some frightening similarities. So many Americans are eating right out of their hands.Don''t be one of them.

"the entertainment industry is considering putting her in some kind of tv program "

perfect for her! she can look good, buy expensive clothes and hair, let someone else write for her. And she can bask in all the fake stroking and praise from her people.

It is perfect--call her Sarah "Hollywood" Palin.
