Giuliani Robocall Attacks Obama As Soft On Crime

Former Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani has recorded a robocall knocking Barack Obama for opposing "mandatory prison sentences for sex offenders, drug dealers, and murderers."

"It's true," Giuliani says. "I read Obama's words myself."

CBS News has confirmed that the call, which you can listen to here, is being deployed in battleground states. It is being paid for "by the Republican National Committee and McCain-Palin 2008."

The script:
Hi, this is Rudy Giuliani, and I'm calling for John McCain and the Republican National Committee because you need to know that Barack Obama opposes mandatory prison sentences for sex offenders, drug dealers, and murderers. It's true, I read Obama's words myself. And recently, Congressional liberals introduced a bill to eliminate mandatory prison sentences for violent criminals -- trying to give liberal judges the power to decide whether criminals are sent to jail or set free. With priorities like these, we just can't trust the inexperience and judgment of Barack Obama and his liberal allies.

According to documentation obtained by the U.S. Veteran Dispatch, not only did POW McCain promise to give the communists "military information" in exchange for special hospital care not ordinarily available to U.S. prisoners, but he also made numerous antiwar radio broadcasts.

The following is McCain''s own admission of collaboration in an article he wrote, printed May 14, 1973 in U.S. News and World Report:

"I think it was on the fourth day [after being shot down] that two guards came in, instead of one. One of them pulled back the blanket to show the other guard my injury. I looked at my knee. It was about the size, shape and color of a football. I remembered that when I was a flying instructor a fellow had ejected from his plane and broken his thigh. He had gone into shock, the blood had pooled in his leg, and he died, which came as quite a surprise to usa man dying of a broken leg.

Then I realized that a very similar thing was happening to me.

"When I saw it, I said to the guard, `O.K., get the officer.''

"An officer came in after a few minutes. It was the man that we came to know very well as `The Bug.'' He was a psychotic torturer, one of the worst fiends that we had to deal with. I said, `O.K., I''ll give you military information if you will take me to the hospital.''"

Giuliana can read? Why would anyone propose a mandatory prison sentence for a murderer? How would that "mandatory" work for "crack" cocaine as opposed to "powder" cocaine? Would that "mandatory" equate a 15 year old providing marijuana to his classmates with a 40 year old dealing hard stuff on the street corner? See how easy it all is? No problem. Mandatory is mandatory, drugs is drugs and crime crime. That''s the Giuliani School of Reading.

In a way I agree with Guliani:

Prosecution and jail for those who brought down the financial system

Prosecution and jail for those who took us to war in Iraq when there was no reason

Prosecution and jail for those who diminished our rights under the cover of terrorisim

Prosecution and jail for those who allowed no bid contracts that raped the taxpayers

Prosecution and jail for those who had no plan for Katrina, Ike and other natural disasters

Prosecution and jail for those who break the American Code of Conduct and broadcast over Radio Hanoi and Radio Cuba

Prosecution and jail for those who didn''t have the common sense not to put a city''s anti terrorism unit in the World Trade center

Prosecution and jail for those who created a massive federal debt

Prosecution and jail for those who keep handing out corporate welfare and financial bailouts

Hi I''m Rudy Guliani and I''d like to say Hi! from jail along with my friends.

Now, that''s a robo call I''d love to get

McCain wants to spread the wealth to the rich. The oil companies the CEOs that are earning millions and millions more than they need to be happy.

Is this the america you want?

McCain would be bad on security because he is impetuous and too ideological. He is erratic in a crisis. Too old now Im afraid. And his running mate is insane she doesnt even know what the job of a VP is and she isnt uncorrupted.

These guys are desperate: they almost called Obama a terrorist, called him a socialist and next week will probably call him a UFO.

It doesnt stick. They have run out of ideas, have weak character, have underestimated the american people.

Time for a change.

Instead of a Jesse Jackson shaking down a single corporation with threats of boycotts, we have pundits promising something akin to a national conflagration should America reject the Chosen One.

Mayor Giuliani,

That is nothing! The Federal Lawsuit unanswered by Senator Obama and the DNC makes the claim that Senator Obama was born in Kenya. The Birth Certificate so far produced is not a valid Birth Certificate.

"The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government", "and I won''t be buried under their d*a*m*n flag."

"I''m an Alaskan, not an American. I''ve got no use for America or her damned institutions."

Jo Vogel, Founder of AIP

Sarah Palin addressed the Alaskan Independence Party Convention a little over 6 months ago, happily telling its attendees that she shared its "vision of upholding the Constitution of our great state", curiously not mentioning the Constitution of the United States. She encouraged AIP to "keep up the good work".

According to the New York Times, Obama''s memberships on those foundation boards, "allowed him to help direct tens of millions of dollars in grants" to various liberal organizations, including Chicago Acorn, "whose endorsement Obama sought and won in his State Senate race." As best as I can tell (and this needs to be checked out more fully), Acorn maintains both political and "non-partisan" arms. Obama not only sought and received the endorsement of Acorn''s political arm in his local campaigns, he recently accepted Acorn''s endorsement for the presidency, in pursuit of which he reminded Acorn officials of his long-standing ties to the grou

These slime robo-calls are SAD and show McCain''s DESPERATION and DISHONOR

McCain has gone over to the "Dark Side". His campaign is so far from "Straight Talk" that there is no hope of finding their way back. It''s now "All LIES and DISTORTIONS, all of the time."

The McCain "LIE, LIE, LIE EXPRESS". Geez John. We know your campaign is now being run by ROVE hit men. Just give it up if you cannot muster even a little remaining HONOR.

You tell the truth, and the REPUBLICAN PARROT MACHINE says it''''s just the media lying to them. The PARROTS just cannot deal with reality. It intrudes on their RIGHT WING TALK RADIO FANTASY WORLD.

The BIGGEST LIES come from McCain.

Frankly, it is becoming OBVIOUS that McCain spent TOO MANY YEARS as a POW. His psyche is damaged. He is unpredictable. He''s unstable and angry. He explodes under pressure.

I''m sorry McCain is so deeply damaged from his years as POW. I sure as hell am not so sympathetic as to put McCain''s finger ANYWHERE NEAR THE ECONOMY or THE RED BUTTON.

Timmothy08....Man you are about one of the dumbest SOB''s who posts on here. Listen to what you say. "At 8, Obama befriended Ayers who later bombed American Government Building." When I was 8 my parents wouldn''t let me go out at night. Then you say, "from youth (what age is that?) Obama was raised and doctrinated with hate for America by his pastor." Another moronic statement. I won''t criticize you on your inability to use the english language since to do so would be unfair to someone who never made it out of the third grade. You should stop this, you''re embarrassing yourself.

Mr. Rudy needs to get a life. And not of the cross-dressing variety, either! The Republicans refuse to discuss the economy at length because they really don''t have a plan. Giving tax breaks to the wealthy and corporations in hopes it''ll tickle down simply doesn''t work. Never has & it never will. They know it, the majority of voters know it and the entire nation will be made aware of this on November 4th!!
All the Republicans can do, then, is revert to their specialty: smear and inject fear. Well, most of us realize this tactic is old & worn out. Too bad that''s all they have to offer.
