Police Group Endorses Obama-Biden Ticket

(CBS)
From CBS News' Ryan Corsaro:

(BALTIMORE) - Joe Biden and the Obama campaign received the endorsement of the National Association of Police Organizations this morning, a group that represents over 2,000 police organizations across the United States.

NAPO president Tom Nee congratulated Biden by phone and promised the organization would support Barack Obama candidacy for president.

“It’s my great honor this morning to pledge to you and to commit to you the support of 287,000 police officers from around the country,” said Nee.

“Joe, I gotta tell you too, man to man, we’ve been very good friends and you’ve worked so very hard on behalf of the American people for a very long period of time. We know we can count on you,” Nee added.

Biden thanked Nee and promised to “re-establish” the crime bill Congress passed in the 1990’s that boosted funding to police.

“We are going to put another 50,000 cops on the street,” said Biden. “We’re going to provide the type of technological help you guys need.”

Biden said he’d put more FBI agents in positions to help local law enforcement. He and Nee agreed that police officers have taken on more tasks in recent years that federal law enforcement used to handle such as immigration, sex offender tracking, and responding to terrorist threats.

“God forbid someone puts sarin gas into a basketball arena or a dirty bomb into a football stadium -- it’s going to be a local cop, it’s going to be one of your guys, it’s going to be one of your women,” said Biden.

Who does the police officers want in the White House? Senator Obama, of course? This way they could have a better chance to raid big oil execs Annual"How much did you screw the Average Joe For Welcoming Party." (complete with ******, drugs, and former/current disgraced Republican politicians). And they don''t want these kinds of slimeballs to just walk away due to their pal, Judge"I don''t know how those child pornographic pictures got there"Rove.

THE ECONOMY IS THE MAJOR INGREDIENT THAT WILL GIVE CREDENCE TO EITHER OBAMA OR MCCAIN''S PATH TO THE PRESIDENCY. THAT"S WHY TAXPAYERS CAN NO LONGER SUPPORT THE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, PARIAH BUSINESSES EXTRACT FROM US WHEN THEY HIRE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.

Only elect hard-line anti-illegal immigrant politicians. Gov Richardson gave drivers licenses to illegals in N.Mexico. Illegal Immigration is lowering wages and stealing jobs from legal Americans. This major issue is costing taxpayers too much. Higher property taxes, free health care, education and a multitude of government welfare programs Just take a look at ''Sanctuary City'' California''s financial demise. $ 11. billion dollars is attributed to the illegal immigrant welfare, who have drained the states funds.

If we enact the Federal SAVE ACT (H.R.4088) enforcement only law. Millions of illegal aliens will leave by self-deportation. ATTRITION! No job, they will leave of their own accord. Only anti-American groups and Liberal-Democrat-Socialists are stopping this law. ASK THEM WHY?

IF WE DON''T STOP IT NOW, THEY WILL KEEP COMING..

War is an act of policy by other means --- All wars have political objectives --- Carl von Clausewitz. This is the big McCain problem.
On tactical and operational grounds, the surge has been a brilliant success. On a strategic scale, little has been done to follow up our battlefield successes. Peace agreements between Sunis and Shi''ites hasn''t manifested. The Sunnis whose assistance we needed in rooting out Al-Qaeda in Iraq, have not been incorporated into the larger Iraqi army as promised by the Maliki government. This is just one of many problems facing us in Iraq, and it''s the result of Bush and McCain picking and choosing what they liked out of the Baker/Hamilton report and ignoring what they didn''t.
To my mind, Obama seems to grasp grand strategy of the sort required by true statesmen. McCain uses battlefield success as a substitute for achieving our overall war aims. This is dangerously shortsighted.

LMAO! Another Obama flip flop, does Biden not know his plan to cut police funding? Or is he just bald faced lying to them to get their endorsement?

Shocking...union leaders support Democrats and Democrats promise more jobs for union members.

I wonder who the police officers themselves want in the White House?

Here come the endorsments!

Even the nation''s largest police union know who is best to lead this Country. If the military had a "union" they would endorse Obama too!

Go Obama/Biden!
