Protesters Interrupt Obama Event

(CBS)
From CBS News' Maria Gavrilovic:

(CORAL GABLES, FLA.) - Barack Obama’s rally at the University of Miami was briefly interrupted today after a dozen or so protestors began to wave homemade signs.

The group of mostly African American men held signs that read, “Blacks against Obama”, “Jesse Jackson hates Obama”, “Obama for abortions”, “Obama for gay marriage” and “Obama endorsed by the KKK.”

They are said to be part of a Miami based group called “Michael Warns”.

The crowd of over 5,000 people at the event shouted the hecklers down by chanting “Yes we can!”

Obama briefly paused and tried to calm the crowd down by telling the crowd to hold on. “Hey young people out there – it’s no problem for you to put your signs up, but let everybody – let me finish what I have to say, alright?,” he told the protesters as he stood on stage.

The group was escorted out shortly afterwards by security. “Alright guys, see ya,” Obama said as they left, “Alright, let’s get back to work.”

A similar group of hecklers appeared at an Obama event in Tampa in August.

What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate "all" have in
common? Answer: Democrat leadership.

Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn''t elected a Republican
mayor since 1961;

Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn''t elected one since 1954;

Cincinnati, OH (3rd)... since 1984;

Cleveland, OH, (4th)... since 1989;

Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican Mayor;

St. Louis, MO (6th).... since 1949;

El Paso, TX (7th) Has never had a Republican Mayor;

Milwaukee, WI (8th)... since 1908;

Philadelphia, PA (9th)... since 1952;

Newark, NJ (10th)... since 1907.

It is the disadvantaged who habitually elect Democrats,
yet are still disadvantaged ... hmmm...make you wonder?

Does anymore REALLY need to be said ????????

And what is the Bush 700 Billion dollar bailout of failed Republican "de-regulation"?

I don''t really know what their platform is ~ but some of these preachers decide ~ what their congregation is going to think.

And just like the Christian Right you have black people who will feel strongly about abortion - as well as gay relations.

But the posters about Jesse Jackson hates Obama ~ might have even embarrassed Jackson.

And the KKK remark is plain old confusing. I saw one documentary on the KKK where one KKK Lord or whatever ~ had as his best friend a black guy. I don''t really what these protesters meant ~ but there is no KKK gene and people are free to choose who they want for president.

Oh come on, who are you kidding?Sure Obama has his detractors, but these were plants in the tradition of old school COINTELPRO. Thats one of the things they did well, pay people to infiltrate and undermind leadership and influence--among other things. The signs should have read ''Paid to Protest'' Blacks Against Obama.'' I''m sure they were plants,it was just too canned. Most people who take a stand like that are passionate and really opposed to a leader or his/her ideas. These guys looked like people just standing there for a buck--and lord knows money is tight these days ain''t it? And what about these posts? Again, not everyone is for anyone, but this is just too predictable. Its an attempt to undermind Obama''s campaign and effectiveness and they are posting and planting because they cannot win on their own merits. I wonder what COINTELPRO is called today, because it exists, has many more
players and entities supporting it
and plenty of money to pay anyone to do anything including show up at an Obama campaign and confirm thier ignorance if not their insecurities and fear regarding themselves and society that is destined for change.

As a Special Ed Teacher in Florida, I could tell the kind of youth that were out there booing and interrupting Obama in Coral Gables today. Just as they agreed to take money to do the "job", they will take more to tell the story of how they were paid. Watch this space.

Ask yourself this question: if racism and poverty ended today, what political party would be destroyed?

The answer is the democrat/socialist party that depends on the fear of racism and poverty in order to maintain control over their slaves.

A true conservative believes in the ultimate minority, the minority of the individual. Join the blacks against Obama and help put an end to the evils of racism, socialism, poverty, and the American socialists known as democrats.

A vote for Obama is a vote for racism, poverty, slavery, and death.

Nazis murdered Jews; Republicans just try to get blacks out of the ghetto plantation upon which liberals have conspired to keep them chained. Being set free from a victim mentality is not akin to murder, sorry.

I looked up who these protestors are and apparently they don''t like the fact that women are able to vote and they really don''t like the fact that Senator Obama is trying to get deadbeat dads to pay child support. Read for yourself%u2026. http://www.michaelwarns.com %u2014 They are a real bunch of losers. I bet some very wealthly white men have made donations to their cause. What a shame - the news should expose them for who they are%u2026..

What McCain has learned from Bush is how to prevent the legal system from operating to protect the public.
Palin''s new plan is to avoid prosecution by intimidating witnesses and to stop the investigation against her, until after the election.
If this is her idea of demonstrating an OPEN administration, she is the same as Cheney, all craven, all the time. She told her workers to use personal email to avoid audits of the state emails system. She did so without success, as a hacker published her yahoo mail and proved she is doing state business on her personal account. You can see her letter to Gov Schwartzenegger on the website.
That''s calumny, fraud for the purpose avoiding legal procedures. She''s a criminal. The only thing keeping her from jail is the Republican majority in the Alaska senate and judicial branches.

This is such a small, radical fringe group. That said, I was glad to see it was handled with grace. I have to wonder about the comments made here, as well. Too much extreme fundamentalism isn''t good for any religion nor any country. And why is it wrong suddenly to be intelligent and mannerly? I came from a small town, but that doesn''t mean I have a small mind. No Palin-McCain (and that is the order that the Rush & rapture people want) for me.

"OK, let''s get back to work," "Obama said after the five-minute interruption, resuming a speech dominated by attacks on Republican rival John McCain''s record on the economy at a time of financial crisis. Meanwhile, the Obama campaign pledges billions to fight world poverty while criticizing federal budget''s lack of ''discipline''". Am I the only one who sees some serious contradictions here?

john43218- You seem to forget that it is Republicans who have been in control for the last 12 or more years. Republicans controlled the Congress until 2006. It is the Republicans and those like yourself that voted for them that are responsible for the deep mess this country is in. McCain is too old, too incompetent, and lacks integrity. Palin is just a flat out liar. We have had enough of these crooks. Republicans will be handily defeated in November.

alohaone, what sort of chemical disorder makes it impossible for you wingnuts to read and comprehend a simple article? obama has an economic plan and has spelled it out, many many times. It''s posted on his website. The "plan" he says can''t be laid out in one day is the solution to the Republican-fueled Wall Street meltdown. Sometimes it''s good to blink once or twice before opening your mouth.
