Palin: Obama's Talk “Doesn’t Sound Like The Politics Of Hope”

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(GREEN BAY, Wisc.) As she continues to sharpen her attacks against her Democratic rivals, Sarah Palin accused Barack Obama of not abiding by his campaign’s own mantra.

"Now earlier today our opponent told his supporters to go out and argue with those who disagree with him,” Palin said. “He told them to get in your face, and you know, that doesn't sound like the politics of hope or the politics of change to me.”

At a campaign event in Elko, Nevada, on Wednesday, Obama did incite his supporters to argue with people who question his commitment to protecting the Second Amendment.

“I need ya to go out and talk to your friends, and talk to your neighbors,” Obama said. “I want you to talk to ‘em whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you argue with them, and get in their face, and if they tell ya, ‘Well, we’re not sure where he stands on guns,’ I want you to say, ‘He believes in the Second Amendment.’”

Palin also hammered Obama for his lack of executive experience, while at the same time touting her own understanding of energy policy, which she says she developed as governor of Alaska.

“Our opponent says he wants to help Americans who are struggling with high energy costs,” Palin said. “But time and time again, he’s sided with special interests and come out against solutions that would help Americans heat their homes and fuel up their tanks and pay their energy bills. And maybe if he’d been the governor of an energy-rich state, he’d get it.”

Like I care what this ethically-challenged, power-hungry, unqualified neophyte from the North says? She''s a parrot... only repeats the few lines she''s been taught.

This woman will be voting for Obama-Biden. The ticket that is pro-woman.

She is trying to crucify him with her lies and she has the gall to complain he is not positive. This woman is not serious. What is McCain doing lately? He is more important. Oh yeah, he is having his senior moment again.

Thank you Mr. Conroy for your reporting, and actually pointing out that Obama incited the crowd. However, you realize that in an Obama administration you would be rounded up as a dissenter. Watch out, America - fascism is coming.

Inciting someone to discuss / argue sounds like exercise of the freedom of speech. Please identify any illegal conduct advocated in Senator Obama''s statement.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, asked today what new regulatory actions Congress can take, said, bluntly, %u201CNo one knows what to do. We are in new territory here. This is a different game. We%u2019re not here playing soccer, basketball or football, this is a new game and we%u2019re going to have to figure out how to do it.%u201D

Politics of Hope: We hope for our sake and for the sake of the rest of the world that Palin doesn''t get elected. We might have a better chance at avoiding needless wars and the destruction of the economy as we know it. Yes, that is indeed the politics of HOPE.

Here is a useful resource related to Gov. Sarah Palin - the most comprehensive page of information on her record available on the Net. It includes videos of her saying her proposed $30 billion natural gas pipeline is the %u201Cwill of God,%u201D her saying a month ago she doesn%u2019t know what the VP of the U.S. does, and her complaining four months ago that Hillary Clinton was whining about %u201Csexist%u201D coverage -

http://dailysource.org/palin

It has in-depth research, audio clips, videos, excerpts and links to hundreds of articles, including many from papers and TV stations in Alaska. It has rare footage, including her telling the 2008 convention of the Alaska Independence Party, whose goal is to give Alaska a vote on seceding from the U.S. to %u201Ckeep up the good work.%u201D

The level of research is unparalleled. The site%u2019s editors include an Emmy-award winning CNN reporter, the former operating editor of the Christian Science Monitor%u2019s web site, the former head of NPRs News Blog and the Executive Director of the Online News Association. Check it out here -

Please spread the word about this Palin info to anyone who might want to know more.

Accounting for all Cheney/Bush''s excesses (0.00 / 0)
I am so grateful this total market meltdown happened before Cheney/Bush could slink out of office. I want EVERY dirty secret of their no bid contracts in Katrina and Iraq where BILLIONS are simply unaccounted for, gone over in painful details.
The next president will have such a HORRENDOUS mess to clean up, it''''s a miracle Obama and Biden would even want to step up to tackle this DISASTER. EVERY Senior needs to remember Obama and Biden saw through the danger of privatizing Social Security, and voted against it, or it''''d be your personal account GUTTED this week.

Senator Obama and Congressional Democrats
In the MASSIVE Wall Street Bail Out Bush is asking for, ALL Americans will be asked to do the heavy lifting. I ask that the biggest issues used to DIVIDE Americans also be eliminated in this bill, and none of them cost the taxpayers a cent.
Add Roe vs. Wade is the law of the land and every American is guaranteed a Right of Privacy. An inclusive ENDA bill which protects the homes and jobs of LGBT Americans is only fair, and the repeal of DADT opens the military for EVERY American to serve with honor.
If Republicans balk at these FREE additions, then mention your healthcare program and tuition for a years National Service, and needed infrastructure additions could have been added to this bill Bush HAS to sign, but we''ve left those plans for another time.
