McCain Ad: Obama Camp Trying To "Destroy" Palin

The McCain campaign has released a new television ad, "Fact Check," that suggests the Obama campaign is trying to "destroy" Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. No word on how often the ad will run or where; the McCain camp will say only that it is running in "key states."

"The attacks on Governor Palin have been called 'completely false'...'misleading,'" an announcer says as the spot opens. "And, they've just begun. The Journal reports Obama 'air-dropped a mini-army of 30 lawyers, investigators and opposition researchers' into Alaska to dig dirt on Governor Palin. As Obama drops in the polls, he'll try to destroy her. Obama's 'politics of hope'? Empty words."

As CBS News chief political consultant Marc Ambinder reported yesterday, Mike Gehrke, the DNC's research chief, denies that Democrats have deployed a "mini-army" to Alaska to dig up dirt on Palin.

"Not a single person from DC or Chicago has traveled to Alaska to do research," Gahrke wrote, saying that no Obama or DNC staffer (or hired gun) has made the trip.

He called the paragraph in the Journal report containing the claim featured in the McCain ad a "flat-out absolute fabrication," adding, "we have sent absolutely zero people."

Wolves out to get her? Well I guess Sarah can just get her fatigues and AK-47 out, hop in a Cessna and blast those wolves to smithereens. Good old hockey mom is willing to shoot to kill. This fits well with her anti-environment, anti-global warming, pro-oil, pro-war, abuse of power position. Anyone like her who has God on their side prefers to shoot first and ask questions later. Say that sounds familiar! . We just had 8 years of that nightmare with Bush - Sarah and John can%u2019t wait to gives four more. God Help this Nation!

That is why when a woman like Sarah Palin comes along it is like a breath of fresh air to normal people, and scares the *** out of Obama-ites.
-----

You are right...she does scare us. The fact that this person could be a heartbeat away from comander-in chief....scary indeed. As for the McSame ad, it is nothing but more lies and out-of-context hype. As for the "lipstick" comment, anyone with half a brain would know that Obama would not risk the fallout of such a comment directed at Palin. His comment was directed at McSame''s fiscal policies - and he hit the nail right on the head. Wake up America!!

Why doesn''t anyone inform the public that most of the oil from the gulf and Alaska goes to Japan and not to the USA??? Is McCaine again helping the oil companies for more contributions?

No McCain/Palin! For anybody to keep entertaining such buffoonery deserves the decline this country will see when they are elected! We don''t need BS soap opera drama, we need a debate about issues and policy. Is our memory that short term and our thinking so trivial that we still reduce a presidential debates over who called who what or who implied what about who? GIVE ME A BREAK!
We ARE facing tough times but anyone would be disingenuous to say that it is not in part due to bad leadership and poor judgment. John McCain and his party has directly contributed to the tough times that we face. To elect him would patently idiotic on our part.

I guess the DEMs are falling apart. They have done everything they can to smear Palin while crying like baby.s if she fights back or others defend her. Wow I guess we do not need a out of control scared to death Obama as a president. Maybe we can all agree on that much this guy has lost it.

Quit acting like childish imbeciles! What are elections for? To find the best people to solve our problems! Let''s talk about the problems. Like taxes. Like the economy. Jobless workers. Crappy education. Inflation. Home prices and bank collapses. Immigration.

Cut the kiddy ***! Both sides!

I agree that Obama is running the risk of middle class americans turning against him for his anti-woman remarks with the pig/Palin remark. I would like to see the campaign be about the issues but since the democrats seem to have only one plan or platform-Change they lack any true substance. I heard more plans on Energy policy, jobs and the war from Palin in 15 minutes then I have heard this whole campaign. Obama when in Ky was a Baptist, latter in another town he is a catholic, then Jew, now Musilm. What is he? He preaches change but picks one of the most corrupt insiders in Washington with Biden. So they need to toss the Change platform then what platform do the have. The only avenue Obama has is to make this a mud match since he cannot campaign on his merits or Bidens.

It is obvoius that Obama''s "lipstick" statement was directed at Palin..thats why the crowd was on its feet cheering right Barack, because it was just a statement. Right. Bottom line is that Obama is just an unqualified speech reader. He can''t answer a direct question without umming and ahhing his way through it. More importantly, he still has yet to explain his 20 yrs in Rev. Wright''s church and other suspicious activity(starting his campaign in a known terrorists house.) Fact is that this is why most people find Obama too scary and weird to vote for. That is why when a woman like Sarah Palin comes along it is like a breath of fresh air to normal people, and scares the *** out of Obama-ites. Sorry Obama, this isnt Chicago politics..cant have them thrown off the ticket due to technicalities. You might have the main stream media eating out of your hand...but good luck with the American voters.

Obama''s statement "You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig" indeed was directed towards Sara Palin. If it was not directed toward Palin then he should have corrected himself immediately and his statment would have not been taken by the nation the way that it was. Palin''s comment on lipstick was not directed toward Obama it was directed towards hockey moms and there determination as mom''s. How horrible that Obama is putting himself to this level in an election that is far more important then putting lipstick on a pig. Obama is digging himself a hole that will not be benefical to him in winning this election. Obama keeps stating that McCain is not sticking to the issues. In the last few days I have not heard Obama sticking to the issuesor talking about them. After my husband and I watch the CBS evening news we change it over to CNN, between these 2 news stations you will definetley get the truth about which candidates will be the best to run our country. My choice will be McCain/Palin there characters support my vote.
Democrats will raise taxes, cut military spending, military veterans will also see a decrease in there yearly raises.I have not heard Obama say how he will support our troops, he does not have the military background that McCain has. As a nation we need to support the canidate who will benefit all Americans.
Obama needs to get back to the issues and keep pig comments out of the elections.
Keep up the good work McCain/Palin.

and yeah, I realize I''m sort of in a mccaine rich camp and will probably get pulled apart, flamed, attacked and fed a bunch more lies. That said, I don''t care. At least I said what I really felt was fair and honest.

This is such bull. I''m not any kind of fanatic, or one sided. I''ve watched and the real truth is there has been far more false, negative campaign ads against Obama than than Obama against mccaine. Yet every republican says both sides lie as if Obama is as bad.

Examples? They quickly used Obama''s analogy of "lipstick on a pig" against him. Their campaign helpers launch fake letters and vids to say he''s a muslim etc. It goes on and on.

Obama tries to defend himself and when he attempts this, Mccains camp will claim Obama is the attacker which is yet another dishonest tactic.

Every time something bad is said about Obama, I do research to quickly learn it''s untrue. If I discuss some mccaine fanatic usually attacks me. Each time it happens I''m more unhappy with mccains camp. I originally wondered if mccaine might be a good choice. YES, I honestly did.

I no longer feel comfortable with him. To top it off, mccaines campaign manager has been one of the biggest oil executives in the world. And yet he claims they will look for alternatives. I''d say the temptation is too high and he could end up pretending he''s looking, yet insist on drilling. Obama can drill if needed while searching, without the financial temptation.

With the continual desperation, dishonesty I see in mccaines camp I can only feel it''s unfair. And attacking Obama for defending himself is also crooked.

That said. I can''t imagine having someone as dishonest and sneaky as mccaine as our president.

It is clear that Obama''s main strategy now lies in trying to destroy Sarah Palin, regarless of the consequences.

The South Carolina Democratic chairwoman''s comments today that Sarah Palin''s only qualification for being picked was that, "she hasn''t had an abortion", is just sickening.

We love you Sarah. Hang in there!

to all you democrats supporting Obama, I encourage you to research it and try to find one piece of documentable evidence that Obama likes and respects the United States. I can give you document after document and that shows he refuses to salute our flag, infact turns his back on it. Openly has admitted to hating Americans and America. Disrespects our National Anthem and all the principles this country was founded on. And you want him to be our president? WHy not just give Bin Laden a call and have him come in as VP then because he will fit right in with that president. Have some self respect and respect for your country. America needs change but Obama is NOT the change we need.

femaledem, you talk that putting McCain and Palin in office will squash the U.S. for good, well gee what do you think putting in a known muslim extremeist/ terrorist who openly admits to hating our country and disrespects our flag and anthem will do?? DUH!! get a clue dem girl... the truth is that nothing could be more detrimental to this countries future than for Obama to win and become president.

truthmatterz, if you have any intelligence at all you will quit talking about how McCain and Palin lie through thier teeth to gain power. Obama has done nothing but lie and cover it up since the first day of his campaign. He snakes his way around the truth like the devil himself. Furthermore his is as ANTI-AMERICAN as you can get but ignorant people such as yourself think he''s prime material for a president, sure if he is replacing Sadam in Iraq. He''s not for the U.S. and has no business running for president. Get your facts straight and if your gonna have a name like truthmatterz then start presenting the truth and not your ridiculous opinions.
