New McCain Spot Features “Hillary Clinton Democrat” Who Backs McCain
With the Democratic National Convention beginning today, the McCain campaign has released its second straight ad looking to capitalize on frustration amongst Hillary Clinton supporters that their candidate is not the party's nominee.
The latest spot, “Debra,” features Debra Bartoshevich, a former Clinton delegate, discussing her decision to back John McCain.
I'm a proud Hillary Clinton Democrat,” Bartoshevich says as the spot opens. “She had the experience and judgment to be President. Now, in a first for me, I'm supporting a Republican, John McCain. I respect his maverick and independent streak, and now he's the one with the experience and judgment. A lot of Democrats will vote McCain. It's okay, really!”
“Debra” comes on the heels of “Passed Over,” a McCain ad suggesting that Clinton was not asked to be Obama’s running mate because she spoke the truth about his shortcomings during the primary battle.
UPDATE: The Obama campaign sends a responds from Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz: "“This ad does not reflect the sentiment of the thousands of former Clinton supporters from my Congressional District who have embraced Barack Obama's message of uniting Americans and getting the country back on track. Cheap political stunts like this ad show that John McCain is offering more of the same: four more years of failed Bush policies and a record of supporting George Bush 95% of the time and losing track of how many houses he owns. Hillary Clinton supporters are embracing Barack Obama and Joe Biden because they know they will bring a tax code that gives real relief to working families, a serious plan to tackle the energy crisis and help you cope with rising prices, and an end to the kind of political game too often on display at McCain headquarters."

Much evidence indicates he doesn''''t even have the American citizenship to legally run for presidency; a lawsuit is pending to determine if he in fact lacks the required citizenship.
This election is possibly the last chance to save the working middle-class and everything it does for this country. It is unbelievable that many voters are still voting based on identity politics..."my vote will only go to a ''woman'' or ''war vet'' or "someone like me"

I truly believe that John McCain would much prefer Hillary Clinton as his running mate rather then Mitt Romney, or any of the other Right Wing Candidates that ran against him in the primaries.
But, you are correct we haven%u2019t heard the last from Hillary and she will shake things up in the years to come.

it''''s funny you say that because whe really was republican in college

If you%u2019re not part of the solution, then...
You must be...a REPUBLICAN!
You figure it out, Hillary Rodham Clinton is a Republican.
For all the talk, there is no substance. Consider voting Indy just to send the Dems a clear message. A two party system is not much better than a one party system.
When Hillary gives her speech this week, Debra is not going to look so good. Hillary plans to hit McCain on his opposition to equal pay, opposition to healthcare for everyone, and McCain''s opposition to the recent vet bill.
These are three topics that were at the top of Hillary''s agenda.
I find it funny how so many people stand up for their beliefs. Then, suddenly claim candidate ___ really supports their beliefs.
As a true Republican, McCain has betrayed me the last 8 years.
Vote Bob Barr!
As a concerned disabled American Veteran and American citizen, I consider it my duty and responsibility to bring following critical characteristics of so called Maverick McCain to you for proving me wrong or right.
"The citizens of the United States of America have the ultimate responsibility to elect the " Right Candidate with the right temperament" to lead our nation'' to address our nations present and future moral, democratic, economic, educational, health care, energy, military, and foundational soul of our nation.
In my firm professional opinion that the media should help the common voter to explore and discuss following attributes of Hon. Senator McCain.
1. Does he have a calm, cool, and collected " temper " [ Presidential Temperament ]?
2. Does he have a sound and sustained "Judgment and Caliber"?
3. Does he have a reveal a presidential "Thought-fullness and togetherness" of purpose and positions?
4. Does he lot or little "ex-poser and exploitation" around Washington"?
5. Does he poses enough " Vigor, wisdom and Vision " for our Great-grand Nation?
6. Does he poses foreign policy exploit-es based on " American Values, Virtuous, Vastness"?
7. Does his campaign talk. slogans and ads are based of facts and free of fiction, deception, seduction, and attacks?

- I cant wait to watch tonight., I think the Dems are going to have a little trouble. Obama probably should of Picked Clinton as his VP. Just for the cause of UNITY in the party. She was his number two. But I wonder How this is going to work out. Seeing how McCain was so quick to critisize Obama for not picking his number two. I wonder if now McCain has made it to where he has to pick his number two. McCains number two is Huckabee not Romney. Believe me, Huckabee supporters would be beside themselves if McCain skips over Huckabee and would put Romney on the ticket. So McCain has put himself in quite a situation. Least Huckabee never attacked McCain during the primary. http://www.hotpres.com
