Obama Camp Focuses on Party Unity, Personalizing Obama

From CBS News' Maria Gavrilovic:

(CHICAGO) - On the first day of the Democratic National Convention, the Barack Obama campaign has laid out two goals: to show that the Democratic Party is unified and to convince voters that Barack Obama is a “regular guy.”

On a conference call this morning, strategist Anita Dunn vehemently denied reports that there continues to be a rift between the Clinton and Obama camps. She accused the press of dwelling on the story and making it “popular.”

Dunn drew attention to a statement released late last night by the Clinton and Obama advisers, arguing that rumors of controversy are false.

"We understand that some in the news media are more interested in reporting the rumor of controversy than the fact of unity… Senator and President Clinton firmly support the Obama-Biden ticket… Anyone saying anything else doesn't know what they are talking about.”

Despite all of the denials, the RNC continues to push the story of an Obama-Clinton rift and has been actively courting her supporters. Tonight, they are hosting a “Happy Hour for Hillary” event in Denver for “open minded Democrats” who support John McCain.

Tonight, Michelle Obama has the task of personalizing Barack Obama as she tries to persuade voters that he is down to earth.

“Michelle will give a personal view of Barack Obama, her husband and Malia and Sasha’s father,” Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said.

Obama will watch his wife’s convention speech from Kansas City, Missouri. He will appear live via satellite at the conclusion of her speech.

He gave reporters a preview of the speech yesterday,

“I can't wait to hear Michelle speak tomorrow. I will tell you I did get a preview of the video they did of her and she was extraordinary and I think you guys will enjoy it very much.”

Hillary is an elite wealthy conservative that wants to be President of the United States even if she had to run for the Democratic Party Nomination.

Hillary is a Republican and will probably declare herself as an independent in the US Senate to position herself for her next run at the Presidency in 2012.

Let''s personalize Obama.

He is the only office holding politician to have voted to oppose "born alive infants protection" legislation, which he helped kill in Illinois as a state senator but which was passed unanimously by the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate before he got there. So he supports infanticide. Hopefully this throwback to the middle ages is not one of the changes he has in mind for America.

At what age does Obama think a human being has an inalienable right to life, as granted by the Creator? Not until it becomes a "viable" child that can feed itself at around age 5? Not until 18? Five months? Obama said that was a decision "Above my pay grade", which would have won the Gold Medal if copouts were an Olympic sport.

So at what age do become non-viable again, and therefore should be denied medical care? 85? 75? 65? Well, if he is consistent he would probably say that is above his pay grade too.

Obama can personalize himself by explaining in his ads where he thinks the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights were all wrong.

If Obama was concerned about party unity, he would have chosen Hillary and not Biden. Hillary can bring votes, at least this one.

Wonder if Gore will steal the nomination on Thursday night when he speaks before Obama? Sources say he has about 100 super delegates in his back pocket to deter any other candidate from winning nomination.

Obama''''''''s job was to rid of Hillary. Once done, he is to be rid of too via his own *** and money scandals.

The roll call has been a democratic tradition since the 1880''''''''s and should be allowed. Otherwise it would be another GOP stolen election if not already based on how Pelosi and Dean had already orchestrated MI and FLA vote fiascos in the summer of 2007 in favor of Obama.

Outside sources say that Ted Kennedy''''''''s malignant brain tumor may be an orchestrated attempt to distract from his real legacy which is his 1968/69 Chappaquidic ***/murder scandal instead because chemo and radiation patients lose weight due to loss of appetite, have jauntice, etc. Teddy looks fine as if he just got off his sailing boat and enjoyed lots of seafoods....

"John McCain is no moderate, no progressive, no friend of women," Barack Obama is all of those things."-Gov. Rendell. Exactly: Barack Obama is a man raised by women, taught by women, with two daughters of his own. If this has come to a race between men, and it has, then Obama is the only man for women to support. McCain ran around behind his first wife''s back, tells offensive jokes about women being raped, calls his wife ugly names in public, and makes demeaning jokes about her particpating in topless beauty contests. Nothing about McCain is pro-women.

Democrats know what we want, or should anyway.

We first want the bleeding of the US Federal Treasury to stop.
We want to remove our troops from unnecessary and costly danger.
We want controls to be put into place to regulate the overt and manipulated energy markets.
We want a comprehensive new energy program.
We want our jobs to be secured and not continued to be sent to foreign slave labor.
We want affordable and sufficient Health Care.
We want immorality and corruption to be abolished in our governement agencies.

The Republicans can have their conservative agenda and everything else they stand for, along with their Corporate Steward Candidate Hillary Roddam Clinton!
