Obama Veep Pick To Come Friday

CBS News has confirmed that Barack Obama's campaign now plans to announce Obama's vice presidential choice to supporters via email and text message on Friday afternoon. (This plan could change, of course.)

He will then appear with his running mate at noon the next day in Springfield, Illinois, CBS News chief political consultant Marc Ambinder reports.

Media reports today have suggested that Indiana Senator Evan Bayh, Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine and Delaware Senator Joseph Biden as the names now atop Obama's list.

Im not surprised that they are bringing this out now.

Keeps the fact that Obama got ABSOLUTELY STOMPED in his first "debate" with Mccain out of the news a bit.

No wonder why hes avoid standing side-by-side with McCain.

It looks more and more like Obama will pick Joe Biden, the plagiarer from Delaware. It makes sense. Joe Biden, a male chauvinist pig who always hated Hillary deep down is, if possible, even more of an egotistical two-faced smug glory-seeker than is Barack. This VP pick will reconfirm all of the worst fears many of us Democrats and other Americans have about Obama''s lack of character. The pick of Joe Biden will not only show his lack of character but also of political judgment. Evan Bayh is the logical choice to heal party wounds. But it seems that the Obama crowd, now just 5 points ahead of McCain in a year when any Dem should be 20 points ahead, is determined to lose the election. And drag a lot of promising Dem Senate and House candidates down with him. What a shame!

If Obama has any thoughts about choosing anybody but Hillary he is wise to do it before the convention.
He''s already surrendered the whole Convention to The Clintons.

Vast-R-WCon,

Let that hatred you have for Obama keep building to a boil.

By November 5 you''ll be primed to jump out of a 5th floor window or off a bridge.

You''re a hoot! Obama at least had the guts to go to a crowd that was bound to be hostile.

McCain is too gutless to appear anywhere except tightly controlled "town hall" meetings where participants are handpicked.

And even so, Obama showed he could think. All McCain could do was spout the usual bushit!

Let''s see McCain and Obama in a real debate, with real questions.

And McCain won''t get the questions in advance, or be allowed to wear a wire so his handlers can tell him what to say.

Obama''s gonna rip McCain a new a$$hole.

Read who the media''s choices are. And then conclude that it is someone else that will be chosen. Whether the media is as stupid as they appear to be, or just malevolent, is unclear. One thing is clear. The power that the media have to distort the truth needs to be removed from them, by force if necessary.

There is only one reason a Hillary supporter would vote for McCain over Obama. Sore loser. They are bitter that Obama won a fair contest, and they can''t bring themselves to vote for him. How pathetic.

If you truly care for what Hillary stood for, then there is no way you would vote for McCain. He is the complete opposite of her in every way.

It deosn''''t matter if Saint Obama chooses Jesus himself as the VP, he STILL is going to get his royal bu*tt handed to him on a platter in November. This is a done deal folks, better get used to the sound of "President McCain".

*** how ignorant are you???? I don''t think Obama is a Saint! I don''t even like Obama all that much. But, I hate Amnesty Mccain! If you want over 20 million illegal mexicans to get amnesty, go ahead and vote for Amnesty Mccain! I want English to still be spoken in this country, so i''m voting for Obama! Amnesty Mccain would be the first hispanic president ever! I''d much rather have the first black president! Obama 2008!

Hillary Supporters need to come home to the democratic ticket this November! Amnesty Mccain shares none of the same values as Hillary Clinton. Amnesty Mccain is the same as bush but even worse than bush! I''d honestly rather 4 more years of bush than any years of Amnesty Mccain!

I am small business owner in California and I VOTED for Senator Hillary Clinton during CA primary.

I for one will not vote for Barack Obama if he so chooses to not select Hillary Clinton as his VP. The clock is ticking, so I hope he does his research and remember that he cannot win without a solid number of Clinton loyalists coming over to his side. That is a fact.

P.S. Delaware only has 3 electoral votes; Biden would be a costly mistake electoral wise and his motor mouth.

Unless you already have your ticket for one of the underground bases the government has built when the ultimate emergency happens, whether it''s environmental or nuclear war, I wouldn''t vote for McCain, if I were you! Because without that magic ticket, you''ll be stuck
on the surface looking the devil in the eye! And it won''t be pretty!

I heard about the Springfield event early this afternoon and immediately my husband and I made plans to go.
We were at the Feb. 2007 announcement and would love to be there for this.
We live about 3 hrs. north of Springfield in north central Illinois and this is going to be huge.
I am expecting a larger crowd then the 17,000 that braved 10 degree weather that morning of Obama''s announcement.

i''m still voting mccain, after that the democratic national committee treated hillary as they did. if obama were stupid enough to offer her the vp spot, i''d surely hope she''d turn him down flat. he''s a goner in november.

Both Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton would be a great choice for VP. Barack Obama is more than qualified to be president but he needs to learn how to fight the McCain/Bush smear machine. Hillary or Biden would be a big help in that department.

To all of Hillary''s supporters I have some common sense advice...Grow up! We don''t need your help getting Barack Elected, trust me; McCain is not going to win in November. Barack is right; "He(McCain) has no ideal what is in for". Barack is using the "Rope-a-dope" and will eventually knock McCain out.

Reguardless of who Obama picks as Veep, he will win Illinois''s electoral college votes. That is the only race that matters. McCain can retire to any one of his 7 homes, if only he could remember where they are.
