Robert Novak Diagnosed With Brain Tumor
Influential conservative commentator and longtime Washington journalist Robert Novak has been hospitalized after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.
“On Sunday, July 27, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor," Novak wrote in a statement given to his publisher. "I have been admitted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where doctors will soon begin appropriate treatment.
“I will be suspending my journalistic work for an indefinite but, God willing, not too lengthy period.”
A fixture of the Washington media for five decades, Novak played a prominent role in the Valerie Plame CIA leak scandal when he identified Plame as a CIA operative in his newspaper column. Last week, Novak was in the news when he was cited for hitting a pedestrian with his car in Washington.

I do wish his family well.
Personally, I want him to survive through this so that he can be open for questioning over the next year or so as it pertains to Valerie Plame. You KNOW the case will be continually worked on.
As to those posting about Edwards.. grow up. That was a National Enquirer story. I suppose all those stories they did about Bush being the actual devil were true too then, right? Any person who could slam into a pedestrian, ignore the person "splayed across his windshield" wait for the body to roll off, turn the corner and keep on driving then say--he didn''t notice the accident is pretty hateful, vile and evil and arrogant too.

In order for karma ("as you sow, so shall ye reap") to make any sense, you have to understand that this life is not the only one you have had or will have. Time stretches out to infinity in each direction. Since the number of your past actions is nearly infinite, over a nearly infinite span of time, it''s just not possible to comprehend how past actions led to the current situation. Therefore, karma is considered to be unfathomable by the human mind. It''s just too effing complex!
Understanding karma is why ALL of the major religions of the world, in some words or other, say: "do unto others as you''d have them do unto you." Whatever you do, good or bad, eventually it''s going to come back to you. ("What goes up, must come down.", "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction", etc.)
Novack has been a VERY BAD man, probably not just this time around. It''s hard to have too much sympathy for him, given the way he''s acted.
If you don''t think karma is real, it makes no difference to me. But don''t say you weren''t warned!

Believing people reap what they sow is one thing--reincarnation and Karma 10 times or as is usually described as the rule of 3--is another. One over time, and in our life time often proves to be true--the other is a matter for belief--expect people to no more believe in that version of existence any more than you may believe we are here only once and some will go to heaven, while others go to he11. you are absolutely right, except for one thing: this is not hilarious. America has become a very deeply divided country with a lot of hatred on both sides, and both sides claiming "real" American values and a "real" understanding of God. If this hatred keeps going on America will end up with the same kind of internal divisions as northern Ireland or former Yugoslavia.

How about for the next two terms anybody with a D or R next to thier names are barred from running for any office in the US. Maybe vote purely on issues instead of personality & party. Some do vote the issues, but very few.
To many Progressives, this is something they have suspect for a very long time about Novak.
However, while Novak is in the hospital he will be attended to by the most famous neocon doctors in the country. It has even learned that "Doctor" Michael Savage will be called in as a consultant and it is a certainty that he will tell Novak that it is all in his head!!!!!
