McCain Hits Obama For Dodging Town Hall, Says He's Using Google To Find VP

(CBS)

From CBS News’ John Bentley:

RICHMOND, VA. -- John McCain told a small crowd of fundraisers that Barack Obama “has obviously not accepted” his invitation to a town hall meeting in New York City on Thursday. McCain made the remarks at the first fundraiser that his campaign has opened to the media.

Last week, McCain challenged Obama to a series of 10 town hall meetings between Thursday and the Democratic National Convention, although both campaigns say the details are still being worked out.

Around 50 well-heeled guests – who had paid or raised $10,000 each – milled around in a small conference room munching on hors d’oeuvres and drinking coffee and soft drinks before the main luncheon began. John and Cindy McCain shook hands and chatted with the guests before leaving the smaller gathering to give his usual stump speech to about 250 donors at the lunch event.

One member of the audience asked McCain how his vice-president search was going. McCain replied he was using Google to narrow down his options. “What you can find out now on the internet, it’s remarkable,” he joked.

He was introduced by former Secretary of State under George H.W. Bush Lawrence Eagleburger, who said he was wrong about the surge not working, and McCain was right. “The reason it worked is the man standing right there,” Eagleburger said.

Good theater...Invite your opponent to a debate of your own invention. Don''''t bother to wait for an RSVP. Show up by yourself.

John McCain issued the challenge to have these joint town hall style debates. But, after the offer from two different networks to carry these meets, it was McCain that (along with Obama) that also turned them down.

John McCain a flip-flopper?
Who would%u2019ve thought?

Also, McCain would have the advantage in a Lincoln-Douglas format, because McCain actually debated against Abraham Lincoln!

Obama can''t bring his teleprompter so somebody can write the answers down and put ''em up on it for him.

He gets dangerously stupid when left on his own.

A man/woman that took his kids to worship in a church that slander america and black people will never become the nominee if he/she were white. But a black candidate can do all sorts of things including membership in a black theology church and still be the nominee of the Dems. This is hypocrisy and this democrat will not stand for it.VOTE McCain fellow clintonites.

Most presidential issues dwarf in contrast to the expenditure of illegal immigration? You wouldn''t think so, when you listen to the complicity of the pro-illegal immigrant organism. The amount of money that taxpayers are expected to pay, for the hires of parasite businesses is just astronomical. If our government was just extending a helping hand, to our own legal population, who in their time of need could rely on the welfare safety-net. Obama, a straight talker said he would sign an AMNESTY bill, that came across his desk. McCain, a globalist is sure to promote the same agenda, if for a different reason from the other party. His plan of the open border, free market elites, whose party-plan is the free movement of cheap labor to flood the North American Continent. Hillary from her comments was completely in agreement with Senator Obama, so obviously the little difference between all three?

However the welfare state has become a cash-cow for anybody who manages to slip past the border patrol, ignore their visa overstay or even leave a ocean going vessel without permission. Without papers they are illegal and should be deported. Today! More than ever, we need the pending Federal SAVE ACT(H.R.4088) because a new AMNESTY will be signed into law, with the next president. Then millions more will come and nothing on earth will stop the new deluge of poor.

You really don''t have to google to find that per McCain:
If you can''t be with the one you love, then love the one you''re with; left 1st wife for 2nd wife.
He called Chelsea ugly, and said Janet Reno was her father.
Thought it was funny when Hillary was referred to as "The Biotch"
Called his current wife a Trollop and a ***.
He is against the rights of women.

From the above remarks, it seems he may not like women very much.

But, nevertheless, it''s easier for some women to believe a lie than recognize the truth.

Please vote for McCain, you deserve him.

"USUAL STUMP SPEECH" I guess it is necessary for the media to include a little sarcasm when talking about John McCain. CBS is a major corporation, I wonder how many of you will lose your jobs when CBS gets hit with higher corporate taxes so Obama can give billions of our tax money to U.N. control to feed the world?
