Clinton Touts Her Support Among Whites

The issue of race may once again be creeping back into the forefront of the Democratic primary battle.

In an interview with USA Today, Hillary Clinton cited an AP article "that found how Sen. Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me."

After Tuesday's results in Indiana and North Carolina seemed to have deflated Clinton's chances of winning the nomination, the New York senator's revamped message is that the delegate math "may be complicated, but the electoral math is easy" and that her campaign is "winning swing states."

Her frank comment about her support among white voters seems designed to bolster the argument that she's better positioned to win swing states with heavy white, working-class populations like Ohio and Pennsylvania than Obama is.

In Indiana, Clinton won the support of 60 percent of white voters, and in North Carolina, she beat Obama among whites by a margin of 61 percent to 37 percent, even though she lost the state by 14 percent, according to CBS News exit polls.

What is more racist than 90%+ of the black vote going to Obama? She quoted statistics that every network have been talking about. Obama= McCain president.

Hillary, get a grip on reality, you are not destined to greatness as you have always believed, the Presidency is not your birthright and you do not have an entitlement to it.

I find Hillary Clinton''s comments an insult and racist.
She is sugguesting... 1.That only white people are the only "hard working" people around. 2.That the rural, white people are "uneducated" by always stating the fact the Obama has the "educated white vote". Is she saying that they are stupid or not educated enough?
Every time I hear this from the media, I cringe. Using race as an excuse to divide Americans into bitter and angry people.
That''s not good, Hillary.

n addition, Senator Clinton would have the support of the vast majority of black AND Hispanic voters in the general election.

Not anymore, she wouldn''t. The dirty little secret among lots of black voters--if HRC steals the election, they stay home--and so will many of the new voters and many of the Independents will go for McCain. But not to worry--at least 50% of all Dems will vote for HRC and probably 60% of all Obama supporters who are not black. That leaves HRC with almost all the Democratic votes minus the 13% that are black. Hillary would lose having netted only 25%-36% of all votes (that is the 36% of Dems -13% of all blacks) if you think Blacks will march out to support HRC after this remark--you must not know many black people.

Is Hillary your girl? Even now is it more obvious why every thinking person must revisit your support of her candidacy? Are you really a progressive, a Democrat? At what point, even if you are a supporter do you just cringe and say no to this woman? I once labeled her the Freddie Kruger of American Politics bringing her Nightmare on Main Street, USA to a town near you!. But I take that back, I think that Hillary resembles more "The Bride of Chuckie". Hillary Clinton has proven what I have always thought about the Clintons. They see the country in blacks, whites, latinos, poor people, working people and then the people who they suck up to and get their money from. Hillary & Bill are working class predators who prey off the fear and insecurity of the working classes and the intellectually undernourished, both of whom who are too busy trying to survive to verify the veracity of Clintons statements and the extent, depth of her FRAUD. At this point, if anything is clear is that Hillary cannot scare up enough white votes to counter balance the revulsion that alot more people have towards her and her campaign. The bottom line is that FEAR & RACE is all Hillary has left. It is time the "VOTE FOR THE BLONDE (dye), BLUE EYED (colored contact lenses), White (her skintone yes) LADY" Campaign comes to an end.

In light of Sen. Clinton''s recent comments regarding race and gender, I consider them to be political and divisive. They are unwarranted and without merit. OBAMA leads and will continue to lead in the most states won, popular vote as well as delegate count. At a critical time in our nation''s history when the country is at war, our economy is failing we need to come together as a country, as one nation and one people. We need to change our political landscape from the traditional politics of divide and conquer. If not we fail. As gasoline prices continue to sky rocket, and job losses are a high we must move forward as one country, one people in solving the problems of this nation.

The press and Obama are the only people calling this primary over. I have never, nor has my community ever heard of anything more ridiculous or absurd.

I am from a community of older white Americans. I am 58 years old and am very concerned about the bias shown by Obama supporters and the media against Senator Clinton. The questions most asked by my community is, how do the Democrats expect to win this election without the white middle class vote, white men and women and the older voter?

Senator Osama is embarrassing them as their candidate. He doesn%u2019t represent their values in his church or past relationships with his pastor. Not do they enjoy watching his condescending attitudes to the middle class of Americans. This elitist attitude pales in comparison to his beliefs

We need to continue voting. It was less than two weeks ago that Reverend Wright was in the forefront. The total repercussions of that issue have not been felt to this point.
By rushing to the decision that NC was the key state to determine his elect ability is absurd.

You should be ashamed of allowing this and justifying it, Democrats, AND you call yourselves DEMOCRATS?

I think not. This Woman is a disgrace. To any level, she''d stoop.

Just wanted to inject a sense of some reality.

If you believe that you are ill informed! Hispanics can''t be counted because they cheat big time, officially 15%, unofficially 30% or more!, collectively non-Whites make up close to 46% of the U.S. population, I didn''t mean to imply Hispanics did but non-Whites which include Hispanics! Whites just recently started having babies again in record births and now make up about 54% of the U.S. Population as of right now and in case you haven''t been keeping track, the bulk of the White population died recently! Many claim White heritage on applications whether its true or not because they think it gives them some kind of advantage, and why would they think that? hmmm. lol

"America is about 54% White and fading fast. Soon Hispanics will be the majority culture in the U.S.!"

You''re an idiot. Hispanics are 15% at best, and of those, 7% claim to have "white" heritage and will easily be assimilated into the general culture.

And, even in the best case (for you) scenarios, will occupy about 25% of the population (half of those being WHITE hispanics, mind you) by 2050, that is, if illegal immigration is allowed to continue full force, and it won''t be.

Just wanted to inject a sense of some reality.

Typical. If any of you Hillary supporters think this is not playing the race card, you are delusional. She says the Dems can''t win in November without her "working class white vote". OK - and yet she believes that she can with with 8% of the black vote? Good luck with that. LOL
