Clinton Says She’s the Goldilocks of the Presidential Campaign

(CBS)

From CBS News’ Fernando Suarez:

BROWNSBURG, IND. -- Hillary Clinton said she often feels like she’s in the middle of her two male opponents, Barack Obama and John McCain. “You know, Senator Obama says ‘we shouldn’t do it’ and ‘it’s a gimmick,’ and Senator McCain says ‘we should do it but we shouldn’t pay for it,’” said Clinton in response to a woman who had concerns over the long term solutions to the gas-tax holiday. “Sometimes I feel like the Goldilocks of this campaign, not too much, not too little, just right,” she said to laughter and applause.

Clinton was holding a small event targeted towards working families and women voters in a town 45 minutes outside Indianapolis. She was joined on stage by her daughter Chelsea and her mother Dorothy. Clinton said she is “incredibly overcome” when she listens to her daughter introduce her at rallies.

“Just as I’m listening to Chelsea talk about me, and of course it makes me incredibly overcome by the feeling that I think that every parent does, you look at someone who is all grown up, who is actually talking and expressing her own opinions and you can’t help but think of all these pictures flashing through your head like her being born, her being a little girl, her graduating from high school and college and all of those milestones,” she said as Chelsea looked on.

Toward the end of the event, Clinton’s voice began to grow so hoarse that she handed the microphone to Chelsea to answer a question about health care. Clinton asked her daughter to explain her plan, something that came easily to her as she has been out campaigning for her mother for months now.

Obama was sent in as a hired spoiler. He is "Bush-lite", light weight know-nothing metrosexual that is even George Bush has more political weight and substance. Too bad Jeremiah Wright came along and spoiled his spoiling of the Clinton campaign.

I really feel for all of the Obama-bots!! I mean this guy is so weak and now to have lied so many times about his spiritual mentor,..God bless you people!! I understand how hard it must be to try and continue the attacks on Hillary because you feel like you have been duped by Obama!! Obama is WAY too weak to ever be elected,...but you Obama supporters are too weak to admit your mistake so you continue to support a lost cause,...Oh well,..live and learn!!

Bad Obama-Bots!! No Kool-Aid for you!!

She really is good...at twisted, cynical tactics.

Goldilocks subtext: wide-eyed innocent, (white) blondie girl, who conjures up our uncomplicated, easy childhood days....

C''mon, Indiana, don''t let her insult your intelligence. Don''t let her play you like you''re simply the unsophisticated masses she can manipulate for a vote.

This is a presidential election! We need honest, facts-based discourse, not this game-playing where she changes the rules as it suits her.

We cannot afford a president who lies, who then lies about lying, who changes the rules in the middle of the game, who accuses others of what she''s guilty of to deflect attention, and the list goes on.

If she behaves in such a morally bankrupt way now, what kinds of abuse of power would be subjected to under a Clinton presidency? We cannot afford to find out...again.

Indiana, please do the right thing and vote for the superior candidate, Obama.

Goldilocks. Isn''t that an Aesop Fable of a little girl who got lost and ended up in the three bears house?
It is also a book by author Ed McBain, a tale of adultery and murder.
Hmmm. Don''t think I need say more. Let''s just show her the door.

Letsee, sneaking into people''s houses, eating their food, taking advantage of them, feeling entitled to what isn''t hers, and then sleeping easily at night....Hillary DOES sound like Goldilocks!

What is amazing to me is that Hillary Clinton has displayed yet again how she is quick to jump the gun in making fast-fix decisions agreeing with Republican John McCain and does not look at the long term effect of her actions. Just like she did when she voted yes to go to war. She says she is a democrat but her actions seem to side with the republicans.

Goldilocks has fangs like the Big Bad Wolf. Its time she quits pandering for votes and seizing on people''s prejudices and fears to campaign by McCarthy tactics against Jeremiah Wright and folks not running.

Again and again, this woman displays as if dieased, that she knows nothing about the materials from which she quotes.

Golilocks is a spoiler. So it seems, that Clinton spoke truth about herself, inadvertently again.
