Group Looks To Re-Create Bloody 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention In Denver

Will Denver '08 bring up memories of Chicago '68?

It will if a group called Re-create 68 have anything to say about it. The group is promising "demonstrations that will rival those at the bloody 1968 Democratic convention in Chicago" at the August's Democratic National Convention in Denver, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

The Re-create 68 Alliance is upset that a permit for the Civic Center, a "spacious plaza" that "has been used for major public events and celebrations representing the diversity and cultural heritage of Colorado and Denver," according to the city of Denver's Web site, went to the Denver 2008 Convention Host Committee following a redraw for permits during the convention.

"When things blow up because the police have to enforce a permit that the Democrats got, don’t blame us for that," Glenn Spagnuolo, an organizer for the group, told the News.

The Host Committee points out that it is not the same as the Democratic National Committee, but Re-create 68 says Democrats are "trying to silence dissent in the city of Denver."

The group, which claims 50,000 protesters will join them in August, has vowed to march from Civic Center to the Pepsi Center (where the convention is being held) on August 24th, permit or no.

If you drive on Red, you should get the ticket, not a bonus check, right.
Florida and Michigan new, what would be the result. Do not expect the check than.

There is the way to sit deputies: according to final proportion between candidates.
Easy, cheap , respectable and reasonable. You want to sit %u2013 GET IT, get it the way this country runs.

And Look - again they do not care, would that be permited or not.
Guys. it is red, do NOT drive.

The demonstrations in Denver would at least rival the 1968 Convention. But I also see that the Super Delegates know there is far too much participation in the primaries and caucuses to go against the will of the people that is clearly Obama.

No, if Obama is the nominee, 40 percent of the Party breaks away hands down, they will not be part of a leftist hate America Liberal Progressive social justice agenda. so the convention can have at it and enthrone their Pretender nominee and put forth their Pretender nominee.

Dems are not like the Republican they will not roll over and gave their Party to the wack a dos of the fringe and a puppet executive with many extremist associates, they will destroy the Party first.

It will also show that Dems are incapable of sending America and Executive that can fulfill the needs of the people, party power will not win over the Dem base that is anti Obama and his quetzal associates.

This country cannot survive another weak inept President propped up but fringe elements who surrounds himself with extremist like *** Cheney where anything goes.

And Pelosi is wrong the Dem non social justice women will not support Obama they will not rally to him, Richardson cannot hold the Catholic Hispanic''s in mass and it was McCain who pushed humane immigration reform not Dems not Obama , nor now will the majority of white men becuse they dont belive themselves to be typical.

It is my hope that if Obama is the nominee, that Clinton''s supporter vote for the best candidate in the general election, John McCain!

LOL And what do you think will happen if Clinton gets the nom? Do you think the other side will just bend and join hands with you to sing Kum baya? Clinton took a huge chance with her scorched earth politics and it is blowing up in the Democrats faces. At this point, Independents are defecting and though many are leaving Obama, they are NOT going to Clinton but to McCain. If this continues to shape up--McCAin will win when the blacks and many Obama supporters do the same kind of uprising you state the Clinton Dems will do and the Independents swing for the only candidate above all the racists and partisan bs. You are right--it just might be McCAin. AT some point, those who support Clinton must understand the mostly, Obama was the answer to "anyone but Clinton and if he is not in the running--then it may well be anyone except Clinton anyway.

Try to understand--no matter how you feel about Historic moments or your candidate as a woman or right for the country--she is DESPISED by many Independents and Republicans and now, many Dems. So other than yourself--she does not have many supporters. WE don''t want a dynasty, we don''t want Hilary Clinton and if that leaves McCAin--then it may well be 4 more years of war--you really need to consider that sulking may only net you a Republican Pres. Because the other side of the Dems is entrenching just as much as you are--and that only leaves McCain standing.

When all is said and done, if the Dems lose this gen. election, neither Obama or Clinton should EVER be allowed to run again under any circumstances. The scars will run too deep and would likely result in another division even years later. Hillary is poison and Obama IS handicapped by race and all the baggage that goes with it--not to mention the ire of all the Hillary supporters who feel he stole what they thought was Hillary''s right to the throne. At any rate, both should be shunned and not allowed to run again, because what they brought out in the Dem. Party now, is only what was there--but they need not run again to bring the ugliness to the surface again.

Leave it to the Dems to find a way to snatch DEFEAT from the jaws of VICTORY---AGAIN. lmao

Wishful thinking, my dear. Over 14 million people have voted for Senator Clinton. Senator Obama is the one from whom people have been defecting lately.

Seems to me there''s a clear and present danger of a terrorist attack by this group. Can we waterboard them all to see what they know?

The citizens of Florida can call their lawyers. It''s too late. We win. ''Lil missy and her followers lose. It''s really that simple.

Rah rah rah? I remember Chicago and never understood why the riots weren''t at the Republican convention. Maybe Republicans had riots and no one noticed because it didn''t affect their checking account!

Another Life long Democrat here in Northern Virginia for McCain ''08...!!! I think a lot of you will be shocked at how many Democrats either don''t vote or jump the party fence! I know here in Virginia (which is a State Obama needs in the win column) there is already a movement starting in that direction!

No democrat would ever vote McCain, who''s well to the right of Reagan; those saying they would are clearly lying in their claim to be Democrat.
