Clinton Waits Out Wisconsin Results in Ohio

(CBS)
From CBS News' Fernando Suarez:

CLEVELAND -- As voters in Wisconsin prepare to cast their votes for in the Democratic primary there, neither Barack Obama nor Hillary Clinton are anywhere near the Badger State. Clinton flew late last night to Cleveland, Ohio where she will hold two events today, but the timing of those events remains curious.

Clinton will hold a morning economic roundtable just outside of Cleveland before taking six hours of down time at her hotel. The campaign tells reporters that Clinton will be doing “debate prep” but the debate is not until February 21st and, traditionally, Clinton schedules debate prep the night before the actual debate.

Clinton is, however, also scheduled to do satellite television and radio interviews with TV stations in Wisconsin. Also, daughter Chelsea is in Wisconsin campaigning at the University of Wisconsin and in parts of Madison.

The Clinton campaign has downplayed a win in Wisconsin for weeks, but they know a win there would be an enormous boost, especially after losing the last eight primaries to Obama.

Clinton campaign senior spokesman Mo Elleithee said “Our goal is to do as well as we can and pick up as many delegates as possible.”

But it’s clear that the campaign is making a real play for Wisconsin and a loss would only add to the momentum currently behind Obama.

We have the Bush Dynasty for over 8 years and the Clinton Dynasty before that. Another 4 years of Clinton Dynasty - of course not. Neither do
we need the Phoenix Cowboy who has
started his war of words with the Cuban''s Castro. We don''t need a Third World War and Mccain is quite capable of starting one. America, wake up and smell the roses - go for OBAMA - he is the Man.

I too am for Hillary Clinton. I think we need some hopeful optimism like we had in the 90s, but I feel that with Hillary it will be even better. She has even more experience now than her husband did. Obama is not prepared-- he has been in the senate for less than three years. That is his only national political experience. If he wins the nomination, I will either not vote in the general or I may vote for McCain.

I agree with Fernando. This is an old Clinton trick. They downplay their interest in Wisconsin and under the radar they make a huge effort to win. If they do it''s ''The Comeback Kid'' scenario. I am so sick of the Clinton''s I could puke.

Hillary Clinton is my choice for President. She will make sound economic decisions and has the only health care plan that is viable. Hillary is the right choice for this country.

Senator Hillary Clinton is the strongest of the two, the Democratic and leaning Demotratic voters should vote for her , Senator Obama is nothing but a media created chracter, and we all know the media is controlled by the rightwing junta. Vote for Hillary to save the America''s party, the people''s party, the Democratic party.
