Romney Almost Makes KFC Healthy

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

LAKELAND, FLA. -- When we were told that Mitt Romney would eat at Kentucky Fried Chicken for lunch today, the traveling press corps was a bit confused. The former Massachusetts governor we know is a health nut who jogs a few times a week and looks incredibly fit for a 60-year-old man.

But there he was, chopping on his fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, beans and a biscuit, although Romney made sure to take the skin off the chicken.

“I feel sorry for you guys though,” he said to the media horde that had gathered in front of his table. “I get to eat. You have to watch me eat.”

It was a bit awkward standing there with our cameras focused in on the governor as our stomachs growled, but it offered Romney a chance to show off a less buttoned-down side.

Asked what kind of music he likes, Romney mentioned the song “Ahead of My Time” by the modern Swedish band Teddybears. But he said that his iPod leans heavily on the '60s and '70s, including Roy Orbison and The Eagles.

Do your homework, NBC has already made a state that clearly notes that Romney didn''t cheat, "After reviewing the tapes, NBC determined that an open mic picked up a whisper from the audience. It is unclear who it is that says it, but it was not said by any of the candidates, was not heard in the hall and, more importantly, not heard by the candidates."

Not only does Mitt not cheat in debates, he doesn''t cheat on his wife.

He is obviously the most competent individual for President. Go compare the coverage between him and McCain and it will become clear that McCain is the darling of the liberal media as a backup to Clinton.

Mitt Romney is ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work for the American people.

Pandering gone bad...

Hey, look at me! I''m a regular Joe just like you guys in the press, and I even eat at KFC just like you. Of course, I pull the skin off these small varmints, if you will. KFC without the skin tastes just like, well, filet mignon. Which is what I eat when you guys aren''t around.

Mitt Romney can not be trusted. He will say anything and pay anything to win. Just look at the debate, Romney cheated. Do you want someone dishonest and deceptive as our president? Don''t believe me? Look at these 3 videos of the Florida debate and tell me Romney did not cheat. There is no denying it.

It''s a conspiracy! KFC was started in UTAH! Utah has MORMONS! Romney''s a MORMON! Therefore, you shouldn''t vote for him!

Just kidding. I''m sure someone could turn this into a conspiracy, but it just makes me hungry.

I''d forgotten how low press salaries are.

Looks like Romney is saving money for Feb 5th!

(Now me, I''d be scraping off the chicken and eating the skin. Its the best part!)
