Huckabee Sounding A Little Like Ron Paul

(CBS)
WINDHAM, N.H. -- Speaking to a packed gymnasium Sunday, Mike Huckabee sounded off on how politicians in Washington, D.C. had spent beyond their public mandate. He then threw in a line about money printing that could have come out of Ron Paul’s mouth.
“We sent them there to cut spending, and they didn’t do it. They’ve spent more money than has ever been spent. Guess where that money is coming from. Your pocket," Huckabee said.
"Just remember this, when government says we’re giving you things, remember before the government can give you something, the government has to take it from you first. And the handling charge is extraordinary.”
“We need to say no to government spending when it’s wrecking our grandchildren’s futures. Nine trilllion dollars worth of debt on your credit card that somebody transferred to the next several generations. That’s irresponsible. And what’s their answer? Spend more. Print more, spend more.”
Interestingly, Huckabee’s words sound like an issues statement on fellow candidate Ron Paul's campaign website. It's not plagiarism, but their points are quite similar: “Today, too many politicians and lobbyists are spending America into ruin. We are nine trillion dollars in debt as a nation. Our mounting government debt endangers the financial future of our children and grandchildren. If we don’t cut spending now, higher taxes and economic disaster will be in their future — and yours. In addition, the Federal Reserve, our central bank, fosters runaway debt by increasing the money supply — making each dollar in your pocket worth less.”
At the Jan. 5 GOP debate, Ron Paul said “We run up the deficits. We tax. We borrow. We borrow from the Chinese. We can't borrow enough. Then what do we do? We print the money.”
Paul has consistently accused the government of feeding inflation by printing more money to pay debt.
Huckabee didn’t venture into the subject of inflation today, but rather continued on to revisit his own record as governor. He noted that as governor he had balanced the budget every year, transforming a budget with a $200 million deficit into an $850 million surplus when he left office.
“That’s how it’s supposed to work. Not to leave debt to your children, but leave things in better shape, not worse,” Huckabee said.

Giuliani is invoking the founding fathers.
Thompson is citing the constitution.
Romney is worried about the future for his grandchildren because of excessive gocernment spending.
What next? McCain calling for a
troop withdrawal?
The thing that bothers me is that I watched the ABC debates and all of these jokers were making fun of Ron Paul, laughing when he was speaking, interupting him, McCain making a comment about "missing him" on Sunday night at the FOX debate. Yet all of them are stealing bits of his platform hoping for a few extra points in the polls. They all disgust me.
Ron Paul is only candidate that really understands the economic problems we face.
Go Ron Paul!
Go Ron Paul!

Huck does not have a chance, people already know that. Ron Paul has my vote and support.

That having been said, let us all remember that the tone and delivery of a message is as important as the messenger. Mike Huckabee is articulate in his message and presents himself in such a way as to appeal to the eyes and ears of the electorate. Communication is very important as we learned from President Ronald Reagan.
Dr. Ron Paul is a good and decent man, but, he is unelectable. I would highly suggest that whoever gets the nomination for President and goes onto win the White House, should consider Dr. Paul as an economic advisor.
Let us rally behind Mike Huckabee and I know that Governor Huckabee would welcome Dr. Paul''s support.

and then post your opinions as to the "solutions" being offered by the candidates. It is obvious that Dr Paul is the only one who fully understands the size of the freight train coming at us.
Well now really did we think this would not happen? Ron Paul''s message is a true pure message so of course the other folks will try to steal his thunder. Important thing is people may be waking up and finally See Ron Paul cares about this country.

Too bad he''s really a tax-and-spend Democrat. His record is available for anyone who cares to check it.
Ron Paul, on the other hand, means what he says. His actions have been consistent with what he says for over two decades. He has practiced fiscal responsibility in his campaigning, as well as in his Congressional duties. Ron Paul deserves our votes and support.
While researching the Federal Reserve, to my surprise, I found that Bernanke admitted the Fed caused the Great Depression.
I documented my notes here http://curedmyapathy.blogspot.com/2008/01/federal-reserve-admits-causing-great.html

Mike Huckabee is listening to Hass and this is what Hass believes about our National Sovereignty:
%u201COur notion of sovereignty must therefore be conditional, even contractual, rather than absolute.%u201C
"For 350 years, sovereignty %u2013 the notion that states are the central actors on the world stage and that governments are essentially free to do what they want within their own territory but not within the territory of other states %u2013 has provided the organizing principle of international relations. The time has come to rethink this notion."
"Moreover, states must be prepared to cede some sovereignty to world bodies if the international system is to function."
"Globalization thus implies that sovereignty is not only becoming weaker in reality, but that it needs to become weaker. States would be wise to weaken sovereignty in order to protect themselves, because they cannot insulate themselves from what goes on elsewhere."
How can anyone place their trust in such a man as the President of this country when he listens to people that advocate such sedition against this country?
Why settle for a poor facsimile when you can have the real thing? VOTE FOR RON PAUL!
One Governor from Arkansas is enough. We don''t need another -- no matter what side of the carpet he''s on.
Listening to the debates last night, I couldn''t believe my ears. It''s like they studied Ron Paul''s speeches to find out why we support him and have changed their "rhetoric" to grab Paul''s supporters. But that will not happen. I didn''t even know what campaign rhetoric was till I looked it up. It''s when candidates will tell you "anything" to get your vote.
Ron Paul doesn''t have "rhetoric." His values, beliefs, and integrity are solid. What he believes is deep in his heart and soul.
I say... Never underestimate the power of the people.
