Hey Rush: Call Huck

From CBS News' Joy Lin:

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Mike Huckabee told reporters today he’d like talk to Rush Limbaugh after the prominent radio host expressed outrage this week over reports that an “unidentified Huckabee supporter in Washington” said Limbaugh “doesn’t think for himself” and is an “entertainer.”

Huckabee said he didn’t know who it was that had upset Limbaugh.

“All I can do is hope Rush will love me as much as I love Rush. Cause I think he's terrific and he's been a very clarion voice for the conservative movement. Somebody said something that upset him. I don't know who and I don't know what. I cannot fix what I don't know."

Limbaugh criticized the former Arkansas governor for “defining who is or who is not conservative.” Limbaugh said Huckabee portrayed himself as anti-elite when in fact he sided with elites.

“It's the elites who want open borders, not middle America. It's the elites who want higher taxes -- and this is Huckabee's campaign” said Limbaugh. “It's elites who want to talk to the Iranian regime, not middle America. It's the elites soft on crime, want to release criminals from prison, not middle America. If we can choose a candidate who is pro-life and anti-same-sex marriage and good on national security, illegal immigration, taxes, and spending, why shouldn't we choose that candidate?”

Huckabee has tried to defend himself from opponents who have portrayed him as a tax hiker, an illegal immigrant supporter, and soft on crime.

He called Limbaugh one of the "great voices of our generation" with a "common sense voice."

Asked if he would speak with Limbaugh, Huckabee said he did not have his number and asked the journalist for it.

"Maybe put it on the web,” Huckabee suggested.

“If he'll call me, I'd love to visit with him, cause I'd certainly love to clarify if there is any issue there. I think he's a person who would probably love to see my candidacy to succeed if he knew me."

rush critcized huck for %u201Cdefining who is or who is not conservative%u201D ??? What a hypocritical pile of garbage. rush thinks he gets to define everybody, "libs", "elites", "conservatives", blah blah blah.

The worst part is that so many people buy into rush''s lame comedy bits as "truth".

Very sad...

In response to the false allegations and double standards used against Mike Huckabee by the so-called conservative %u201CElite Talk Show Hosts%u201D and writers, consider the following;
Did the current President and their elected pals in the US Congress uphold their responsibility by holding the line on spending starting in the early 90s? Did the %u201CElite Talk Show Hosts%u201D and writers help vote them out of office by working night and day mocking their names as dreadfully has they have smeared Mike Huckabee%u2019s name, only after his rise in the polls?
Their %u201CTalking Points%u201D propaganda warfare used against a fellow conservative who could very well be more of a conservative than they are provides a good look at their true colors.
Comments like %u201Ctax and spender%u201D, %u201Cnot a conservative%u201D, and %u201Csoft on immigration%u201D are merely %u201CTalking Points%u201D without specifics and offered in the style of propaganda as Dictators who employ the same tactics to spread only their message with little facts or specifics and/or direct rebuttal from the opposing candidate/s.
I have seen enough and prefer not to lessen or watch Rush Limbaugh, Michael Reagan, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham until after the 2008 election. I prefer my news and entertainment %u201CUN-FILTERED!%u201D

Mike Huckabee is skyrocketing in the polls like Ronald Reagan did to win 49 out of 50 States.

Dec 19th NH poll:
Mike Huckabee 28%
Mitt Romeny 22%

Mike is now taking charge in New Hampshire too, the hardest state to win for him. This goes to show that his uplifting, kind, honest and trustworthy message is the message Americans are looking for in a candidate.

Even the staunch Dallas Morning Newspaper endorsed Mike Huckabee this morning.

Mike''''s Huck-a-Bus is traveling faster than a super high speed train now, the other candidates are burning their fingers trying to touch it now.

Mike is waving to all the Americans now and saying "All Aboard". Let''''s take a ride on the Huck-a-Bus and watch another huge underdog upset in the making happen.

America is back in the running now, and the American voters are feeling Mike''''s blazing energy!

GO MIKE GO!!! GO MIKE GO!!!

What does Huckabee mean by saying "[Rush]is a person who would probably love to see my candidacy to succeed if he knew me"? Can his charm trump his record in office?

I would love to have Rush expose Huckabee''s weaknesses with millions of Republicans listening. Right now the liberal media is making "aw-shucks Mike" look so appealing because they want a liberal in office. Huckabee would be the easiest to defeat in the general election.
